Die for Metal Lyrics

They can't stop us,
Let 'em try!
For heavy metal
We will die!

Quit my job this morning said; forever
I would hold my head up high.
Cause I need metal in my life,
Just like an eagle needs to fly.

So I walked outside into the street,
From a hall I heard thunder and screams.
I walked inside so I could hear,
And the guy beside me gave me a beer!

He had his fist up in the air
And called me brother said; my friends
Are over there...

They call themselves immortals,
They're the truest of the true
And in that very moment,
I was born again like you!

They said hold your head up high,
Raise your fist up in the air,
Play metal louder than hell!
Louder than hell!

They can't stop us,
Let 'em try!
For heavy metal
We would die!

Brothers stand beside me, as I battle on
Know my words are true.
There's a battle for true metal.
They're marching; they're marching on
Me and you!

Ten thousand strong are here tonight,
With twenty thousand fists up in the air.
The power of true metal's calling you,
It's everywhere!

Hold your head up high,
Raise your fist up in the air,
Play metal louder than hell!
Louder than hell!

They can't stop us,
Let 'em try!
For heavy metal
We would die!

I just thought this song was just self-explanatory, especially with the intro 'For Heavy Metal We Will Die.' shrug

Sounds like the story of a man discovering his first Metal concert.

My Interpretation

I think this song is about how can a guy be worried from job, or have a bad day.. etc. But he can always go to a Metal concert and be rounded of guys with his same interests and have fun.

Sorry for my bad english, but i think it's understandable

Let me first say, I think this song is going to be horribly misinterpreted due to the lyrics nature. I believe these lyrics are NOT to be interpreted literately! With that being said;

To me these lyrics are about sticking true to your beliefs and not being afraid to stand up for what you believe in regardless of the results. They also seem to hint at staying beside friends who are in times of need.

This was the perfect bonus track for Gods Of War. It let everyone know that even though they were releasing a series of more serious albums, they weren't giving up on writing songs purely about heavy metal. It also gave them a nice single that didn't have to worry about having the rest of the story present.
