Yes, Dana Wells was the stepson of Max Cavalera and also Chino Morenos best friend. Dana didnt get murdered like... gunshot or something, he got hit by a car, the car was driven by a drunken driver. This song is dedicated to Dana and First Commandment is dedicated to the one who drove the car. Max started Soulfly, well, he got the name Soulfly from this song. First here to comment :D First of all, Chemical Vocation is not big at all. Right now it's just a DEMO-band but damn they are so fucking good. Easy one of my favoritebands. In 16 days I'll get to see them live at Hultsfredsfestivalen Sweden. And this is one of my favorite-tracks. -listening to the song atm- My thoughts; - he is asking(?) this person to help him from his depression. He is depressed by something he have done, or he is blaming himself for not(?) doing something. And he dont want to be depressed... but he need someone to help him, cause he cant do it by himself. Maby this "friend" doesnt help him. " i go my way don´t give a damn about you. your fists don´t hurt me" But someone else sees that he is depressed and help him to handle the pain and so on. "someone said hello is this true am I visible" And in the last 3 lines "take my hand..." to "you helped me out..." he tells us that this friend helped him out of the depression. I love this song 'cause I'm felt the same way one year ago, noone could understand my problems, just one girl, we're best friends now and it feels good that someone listened to me and understood why my life was(are) fucked. but its pretty much about someone who put himself into a depression and he need someone to help him, but some people is turning their faces away, but finally someone help him. sorry for the long post and my sucky english. |
