| Paramore – Part II Lyrics | 12 years ago |
|
Firstly, I would like to say as well, that the lyrics are totally wrong. If you check out the band's official website you will find the (which I've submitted here and are awaiting approval) correct lyrics. "What a shame, what a shame we all remain Such fragile broken things A beauty half betrayed Butterflies with punctured wings" As it is Part II to Let the Flames Begin, I see that they were warring then and they felt so promising, they had 'Brand New Eyes' (butterfly cover of the last album) and were ready to take flight, however their wings were punctured (beauty half betrayed= 2 members leaving, injuring the wings), and now "what once was blazing light, there's a tiny spark" meaning there is hope to get over it all, turning their eyes to God, so they can just continue as a band and reach lives with their music. Honestly if you pick apart certain lines, different aspects of the band's struggle pop out at you. There are references to the band's war between members, the failed relationship, broken friendship, new relationship (yes I think the words 'Glory' and 'enemy's song' highlights him) and their religious preference. It really all comes out for me in the second verse: "What a mess, what a mystery we’ve made of love and other simple things" I like to think it's a song of multiple meanings that tells the band's story. Everyone can take something from the song as well and apply it to their lives. Doesn't have to be religious. That's what I like about Paramore, they may be 'religious' but their music has a more secular take on life. |

| Paramore – The Only Exception Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Hayley's voice is absolutely beautiful in this song. And it's an absolute beautiful song itself. My interpretation- Believing that love doesn't exist because at a young age you witnessed the heartbreak your parent's caused each other. You don't believe in love until one day it smacks you in the face, but in the back of your mind you're afraid that love will end in heartbreak for you as well! |

| Paramore – Misguided Ghosts Lyrics | 16 years ago |

I consider it a heartbreak. But this heartbreak can be romantic or just heartbreak in general i.e broken friendships or family relationships. I feel as if the is one of those songs where you can interpret several different ways depending on which way you can relate. |

| Paramore – Misguided Ghosts Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Oh how I do love this song. It speaks truly to my heart as I feel this way now, except I'm in a position where I cannot escape. Meaning to me: It's about growth and maturity. Sometimes life takes you to a place where everything is too comfortable and you feel like you haven't changed. So you branch out to try and find who you really are. You make mistakes and you try to run from them, but they always haunt you. Your friends abandon you because you've changed or they change and you're just in this state of metamorphosis; Who you used to be and who you're becoming. You need someone to rely on, a companion who can pull you ot of this state of mind, but until you do you feel like a lost (misguided) and empty shell. |

| Damhnait Doyle – Darkness Round the Sun Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I LOVE THIS SONG! It's so uplifting and sung beautifully both by Damhnait Doyle and Alexz Johnson. | |
| Garbage – I Think I'm Paranoid Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I think these are the more correct lyrics for people who like to see the lyrics word for word You can look, but you can't touch I don't think I like you much Heaven knows what a girl can do Heaven knows what you've got to prove I think I'm paranoid And complicated I think I'm paranoid Manipulate it Bend me, break me Anyway you need me All I want is you Bend me, break me Breaking down is easy All I want is you I fall down just to give you a thrill Prop me up with another pill If I should fail, if I should fold I nailed my faith to the sticking pole I think I'm paranoid Manipulate it I think I'm paranoid And complicated Bend me, break me Anyway you need me All I want is you Bend me, break me Breaking down is easy All I want is you Paranoid I think I'm paranoid Bend me, break me Anyway you need me All I want is you Bend me, break me Breaking down is easy All I want is you Steal me, deal me, anyway you heal me Maim me, tame me, you can never change me Love me, like me, come ahead and fight me Please me, tease me, go ahead and leave me Bend me Break me Anyway you need me As long as I want you baby it's all right Bend me Break me Any way you need me As long as I want you baby it's all right |

| Lykke Li – My Love Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I interpretate this song as she's dated around and she's found that special someone, but she let them go, now she's trying to re-connect. And now she's not dating around anymore [[hence her dancing alone]] because she knows mr. right will come. I draw all this from..."i miss you man where have you gone? i miss you much i miss you long so many men where did you go?"..."oh could it be i passed you by a thousand times before not knowing who you were?"..."i dance alone with my head high"..."my love will come" |
|
| Lykke Li – Complaint Department Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| this song in my interpretation seems to be she broke up with someone and they're trying to complain, but she doesn't care to hear it! | |
| Lykke Li – Let It Fall Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
this song is self explanatory correction in the lyrics: enjoy this moment should be "in joyous moments I moan" |
|
| Lykke Li – Dance, Dance, Dance Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I think these may be the more correct lyrics having trouble telling how i feel but i can dance, dance, dance couldn't possibly tell you how i mean but i can dance, dance, dance so when i trip on my feet look at the beat the words are written in the sand when i'm shaking my hips look for the swing the words are written in the air oh dance i was a dancer all along dance, dance, dance words can never make up for what you do easy conversations, there's no such thing oh, i'm shy, shy, shy my hips they lie 'cause in reality, aye i'm shy shy shy when i trip on my feet look at the ground the words are written in the dust when i'm shaking my hips look for the swing the words are written in the air oh dance i was a dancer all along dance, dance, dance now words can never make up for what you do oh dance i was a dancer all along dance, dance, dance now words can never make up for what you do |

| Fireflight – Unbreakable Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I can so relate to this song both past and present. It's an excellent song...and I don't write Fireflight off as a cheap imitation of Flyleaf, they're both amazing bands. To me this song means that you can be broken by fleshly things, but with faith [[and a relationship with God]] your spirit will not be broken and you can achieve your dreams/destiny! |
|
| Natasha Bedingfield – I Bruise Easily Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
This song is beautiful. To me the meaning is plain in the song, "Anyone who, can touch you, can hurt you, or heal you." Everytime you give your heart away, you risk it getting bruised and broken, but if you don't let anyone in you'll never know true love. |
|
| Cassie Steele – Drink Me Dry Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I agree with koolestlozereva, I think this songs is the contemplation of suicide using drugs, and this line "How'd you like me now" makes me think it's fueled by the rejection or "toying of the heart" by whoever is kissing her "one last time" | |
| Cassie Steele – Blue Bird Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I'm clueless, like rocketsummergirl...though for some reason it reminds me of Go Ask Alice (ya know the book, about the drug abuser). | |
| Cassie Steele – Fantasy Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This song is reminiscent of The Veronicas, Everthing I'm Not....it's about a girl who's tried to live up to this boy's expectations, then realizes she'd rather be herself, and drops him. That's one smart chick! | |
| Cassie Steele – Love Cost Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This song is self-explanatory. It's about a girl who lost love, and is just going through the emotions of a break-up. | |
| Alexz Johnson – There's Us Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This is in fact, a beautiful song. I agree with chibipocky. This song is about falling in love with possibly a close friend, and even though they broke up because it wasn't in fact love, they'll always have their friendship. Sort of reminds me of Cool by Gwen Stefani. | |
| Wicked Wisdom – Bleed All Over Me Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Wow...Jada's all...Wicked...and Will's all Ghetto-Streetz...what a combo...poor kids are probably confused | |
| The Veronicas – Everything I'm Not Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I really like this song because no girl should have to change who she is to impress or keep a guy. In a relationship couples should be who they are. In this song, the girl finds out who the guy really is and she leaves him..brilliance. I just wish all The Veronicas songs weren't about being in love with this guy and they go crazy cuz he wasn't the perfect match....but like I've said, they have great instruments....that's good at least.... | |
| The Veronicas – Heavily Broken Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I think this song could be like what a girl is feeling inside after something like what happened in when it all falls apart. The girl wants the guy, he doesn't want her, she goes crazy...then she's heavily broken and don't know what to do...yep....it's like a puzzle piece...lol | |
| The Veronicas – When It All Falls Apart Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This song is a break up song. She wants this guy, but he only wants to be friends (which is typical of guys, they think they're God's gift to woMAN, and think they can have more than one woman without out the other getting hurt) and she's going crazy cause she wanted more so now she's just f**ckd up inside cause he's left her that way.....I like it, but mainly cause of the instruments...its a good song too though...anyways...I'm out | |
| Stacie Orrico – Everything Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This song is absolutely beautiful...I LOVE IT...and I play it over and over again even though it's like 5 years later....I'll love this song till the end! | |
| Stacie Orrico – I'm Not Missing You Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I love Stacie's music...and this single, well it's a great comeback after her long break...and it does make you want to sing along....it's beautiful! | |
| Field Mob – So What Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Wow I guess I'm clearly retarted....man you gotta witness all dis stuff firsthand to be clearly retarted too then eh...cause I can relate to this song...and I like it...with my clearly retarted self | |
| Ashlee Simpson – Invisible Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Ash totally looks like Jess in this vid...but somehow she still keeps her punk rock edge though the song was a bit on the pop side. And the singing....it mos def has improved...I giv her 2 thumbs up | |
| Marion Raven – Break You Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This song doesn't need an interpretation, she pretty much reveals it all through song and well it rocks! It's totally full of energy and vibe! | |
| Avril Lavigne – Slipped Away Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| When I listen to music I listen to beat and lyric. And the first time I heard this song, I broke down in tears because I can relate. It hurts to lose someone you love, and though I didn't know this was about Avril's grandpa, I knew someone near and dear to her died. | |
| Vanessa Carlton – Put Your Hands On Me Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I like this song alot and I agree with Crimson&Clover. This song is about a love so strong, it feels like the two lovers souls have met eachother throughout history and if the guy would just trust her, he'd see what she's feeling. This song rocks! | |
