Put Your Hands On Me Lyrics

I first saw you at the video exchange
I know my heart and it will never change
This temp work would be alright if you'd call me
You'd call me

I lie awake at night
And for you I pray

We crossed the deepest oceans
Cargo across the sea
And if you dont believe me
Just put your hands on me
And all the constellations shine down on you and me
And if you dont believe me
Just put your hands on me, oh no

The subway radiates with heat
We've barely met
And still I cross the street to your door

We crossed the deepest oceans
Cargo across the sea
And if you dont believe me
Just put your hands on me
And all the constellations shine down on you and me
And if you dont believe me
Just put your hands on me

Some day when our stories are told
They'll tell of a love like this
When our descendents are all growing old
A thousand years'll be singing
na na na na na na na na na

We climb Tibetan mountains
Where we can barely breathe
I see the Dalai Lama
I feel him blessing me
And all the constellations shine down on you and me
And if you dont believe me
Just put your hands on me
na na na na na, no
Your hands on me
na na na na na na, no
I first saw you at the video exchange

Vanessa took the 'Put Your' portion out of the title and reduced it to just 'Hands on Me' because Joss Stone already had a song caleld Put Your Hands on Me.

Hear's my take on this song: This song is about a girl and how she and this guy are in love she's just telling him about how she feels as if they've met in a previous life. She tells him the places they've seen and been and how he'll know it must be true when he touches her. I like this song a lot. It's nostalgic.

I like this song alot and I agree with Crimson&Clover. This song is about a love so strong, it feels like the two lovers souls have met eachother throughout history and if the guy would just trust her, he'd see what she's feeling. This song rocks!

She's changing the lyrics from "and all the constellations, shine down on you and me" to "and all the constellations, shine down for us to see"

she's sang it like that in some recent shows. i think the reason is because of how many times the word "me" is said in the chorus.

i also agree with Crimson&Clover. I like the live version she did on 'u.s open late night'. i hope they don't put to many orchestrated bits in it and ruin it...

Crimson&Clover, I think you've got something there. I totally agree.

I think this is one where the girl wants the guy but he won't contact her, but she thinks that if he just let go of everything, they'd be an amazing couple.
