I think of it as a marriage song. From 0:00 - 1:13, it's everyone from Brides Maids to Best Men and the Groom coming out. From 1:14 - 1:52, It's the Bride coming out with her father. From 1:53 - 5:05, It's the religious portion of the part. The Bride and Groom are both holding hands together, hence the name of the song "Your Hand In Mine" 5:06 - 6:06, it's the exchange of vows and wedding rings. 6:07 - 6:18, it's the pastor saying "By the power invested in me and by the state of (pick one), I now pronounce you husband and wife." 6:19 - 6:30, The wedding kiss. 6:30 - 7:19, Pictures from photographers showing the married couple. 7:20 - End, Them leaving the church... Just my take on the song... |

I havent been much of a Nickleback fan...But this song got to be our class song for 2006....It was the perfect timing for me... In fact, the best memory im going to have in a long time was basically my whole Senior class at Prom formed in the middle of the dance floor as this song played (The Final song for the night, which made it even more special..) and started chanting 2006 and our school's initials...!!!! It was the most electrifying thing I have ever been apart ... I think there is also some sort of symbolism hidden within it too...For me, walking out the front door means you are stepping into the world as an Adult..... Class of 2006 forever!!!!! |
