| George Harrison – Cheer Down Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| People stop putting your views here. Its a 'song meaning' not 'your opinion' section. Thanks. Its a complicated song but very beautiful. There are two section one section is about people who cant take pain in a good humour and other section says that when you have problems you get by not even noticing that you are in a problem. What a thought!! trembling withn, smile out of place, no tears to be shed, dead dog describes the first section and teeth, shares and hair describes the secong section. Why the Fuck he died so early man!! Why the fuck we lost Lennon and george first out of the four beatles and that too in the worst order. I think I must cheer down. | |
| John Lennon – I'm Losing You Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I thought it was a love song but it turns out to be a political song. Imagine what gave it away? "do you still have to carry thet cross? I still cant figure out the first line. Help meeee oooooo (fade).... | |
| Roger Waters – Leaving Beirut Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Reading all the comments on the song tells me how intelligent this song is. There's nothing hidden this song is about terrorism and basic idea is that who ever blasts a bomb is a terrorist UK, US, Pakistan, or Hezbollah. I like where he talks about Tony blair. Fantastic song. How come no one said anything about drugs? That's the only things people can think of while listening to Waters. | |

| Pink Floyd – Comfortably Numb Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I always thought of a dying soldier while listening to this song. It makes sense as it is after 'Bring the boys back home' and before 'the show must go on'. It cannot be about anything except for war and victims. | |
| The Beatles – Here Comes the Sun Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Its a hippy song. Happy and smiling types.. optimistic and NOT philosophical. Its a Sunday-afternoon-post-lunch-stoned-15-minutes-nap song for me. George I miss you man. I dont think George is underated. To me he is the best musician and human being ever existed on this planet. A poet who was always musically and politically correct. | |
| The Beatles – I Me Mine Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Yes. This song is bout 'The Beatles' and not Paul McCartney alone. Cetusamicus its ok. Every great thing comes to an end. We should be thankful that 4 geniuses stayed together for 10 years and composed incomparable music. Imagine how difficult it is to chose the best when you have ideas coming from john george paul and ringo :> | |

| The Beatles – I'm So Tired Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| curse sir walter ralegh(1554-1618) he was such a stupid git...sir walter ralegh was courtier who was beheaded on the charge of treason(a catholic plot to replace the english king with the spanish support)....it seems once he was smoking and a servant threw a bucket of water on him to save his life...he was the man who popularized tobacco...no doubt he was such a stupid 'git'... | |
| Simon and Garfunkel – Save The Life Of My Child Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| this isong is about drugs and thats quite apparent..Its about generation gap even thats quite apparent..its about human not concerned about not-so-fortunate fellow being..I always think of 'ledge' as a white coke ledge..like from 'scarface'..people let me know if i am behaving like i'v sniffed some:> | |
| Pink Floyd – Nobody Home Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
I think the song is about a successful man..It could be waters himself though i dont see waters so negative as this character is so i presume this is just a fictional charachter (pink) who resembles waters in the flick 'The Wall'. The song is about a successful depressed man.. lets take it line by line... (I've got a little black book with my poems in) Pink's lyrics book (I've got a bag with a toothbrush and a comb in) pink's bag while he's travelling as a superstar(comb is a desperate need)) (When I'm a good dog they sometimes throw me a bone in) 'They' could be sponsorers or fans (I got elastic bands keeping my shoes on) for suicidal purposes mad people are not allowed shoes with laces. (Got those swollen hand blues) i think waters is talking about a mad manacled man in an asylum or a drug which effects in swollen hands or somthing..but I thing its about being a slave to something... (Got thirteen channels of shit on the T.V. to choose from) self exlplanatory.. (I've got electric light) i always relate to electric shocks but am not too sure.. (And I've got second sight) I am mad but still I can sense deception.. (I've got amazing powers of observation And that is how I know When I try to get through On the telephone to you There'll be nobody home ) I am sane enough to understand that even if your at home you'll not pick up the phone.. (I've got the obligatory Hendrix perm) hendrix kindda hair (And I've got the inevitable pinhole burns) holes created using drugs through injections (All down the front of my favorite satin shirt ) I think satin shirt is just an allusion of expensive shirt which stars wear(not sure) (I've got nicotine stains on my fingers) cigrette and nothing else... (I've got a silver spoon on a chain) lots of interpretation..mine says siver spoon (success) on a chain (slavery) (I've got a grand piano to prop up my mortal remains) a refrence to nothingness.. when a superstar dies his things are put in a museum and thats it.. (I've got wild staring eyes I've got a strong urge to fly But I've got nowhere to fly to Ooooh Babe when I pick up the phone There's still nobody home) self explanatory (I've got a pair of Gohills boots) I think the adventurous nature of pink (And I've got fading roots..) dying... People let me know If I have goofed up big time here...This is the closest I can get to this masterpiece..Everything is double-meaning in this song...This is my interpretation unless its about world peace or somehing.. who knows..Long live Pink Floyd the kings of listenable 'Trans'.. |

| The Beatles – Why Don't We Do It in the Road? Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Im surprised no one says LSD ot drugs here? There are people who think 'Yesterday' is about drugs why leave this song? There's this dude who thinks 'within you without you' is about drugs.. cmon guys arent you thinking these days? I think this song is about nothing like you know my name look up the number... | |
| The Beatles – You Know My Name (Look Up the Number) Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Two genius having a ball..I thinking paul tries elvis..Its a fun song to listen to..Its not a rubber soul or revolver song but how bad lennon and Paul can get? Its a treat...I like anthology verion I dont know if there's any other version.. | |
| The Beatles – You Like Me Too Much Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I never paid attention to the lyrics..this such a beautiful song to sing.. | |
| The Beatles – A Day in the Life Lyrics | 20 years ago |

When I got stoned for the first time at age 17 I heard this song in loop 3 times and then the rest of the album. I dnt think anyalbum came closer to SPLHB by anygroup including Blonde on blonde by Dylan and Dark side of the Moon by floyd. B side of abbey road is better than a or b side of this album but as a whole this is the best album ever compiled by any group... About the song..There are so many things you like in this song.. I can list them in the order..amazingly lennon comes the last in the list thought its his song.. 1. Intro of the drums (Ringo is a god) 2. Intro by Paul (paul is a god) 3. guitar rythem (John is a god) 3. Lyrics (John is a god) 4. Piano end (John is a god) 5. Usage of the brass 6. Bm to Em to C (john is a god) I am sure Geaorge's hand in this song is as important but i am ignorant of that... |

| The Beatles – What You're Doing Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Its a great song..I think its a ringo song..hail ringo the Starr!! does anybody think that too? | |
| Paul Simon – You Can Call Me Al Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I am giving it a shot..and i think im definitely wrong..here's my attempt..i think its about 'three people'/'or one man' who feel out of place..1st is a successful man..2nd is a man alienated from his family and third a man in a foreign country... chorus i think is probably these men/man is asking a favor from diffrent ladies in diffrent verses.. | |
| The Beatles – Mother Nature's Son Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Im sure paul saw an indian guy on the bank of river ganga in India (probably a singer) and wrote the first line..self explanatory song..fantastic lyrics, vocals and intentions.. | |
| The Beatles – You Can't Do That Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| 2world your theory is so weird man...Its a kick-ass song by Lennon...lyrics are pretty simple its just the music which is killing..one the few songs which my poor friends who dont understand the concept of beatles can listen to...lennon yells and leads follows nothing like it... | |
| The Beatles – Yes It Is Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Its a great song!!! a reminder what fine singers they were...I like anthology version where lennons start "twai twuee" and harrison and mccartney seriously sing their part as normal practise...one of the best harmonies..very similar to this boy but no two beatles songs are alike as all beatles fans know...the only similarity is that both of them are great songs with great harmonies...Be | |
| The Beatles – Your Mother Should Know Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| i like 'sing it again' paul's timing is just his timing..genius.. | |
| The Beatles – Your Mother Should Know Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| dawgsnkats i like your description..i feel the same way..its nice to think of your mom while listening to this song..long live rock!!! | |
| The Beatles – Your Mother Should Know Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| hahaha!! I can only laugh at people who dont like this song..the song is just brilliant...It looks simple but its not...magical mystery is a weird album and it fits in like all of them...I have always waited for this song...Its a nice song to play on the piano and the guitar..I dont know what other qualities a great song can have... | |
| The Beatles – Within You Without You Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| This song is not about 'LSD'..people cant think or what? 'when you see beyond yourself' is whichever way..looking at a poor man..read something significant..a near death experience or even a cheesy break-up..a helpless feeling basically.. | |
| The Beatles – Within You Without You Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| in the history of rock there are few geniuses who are really underrated..two of them are in the beatles..george and ringo..George harrison single handedly created the cult called 'hippism'...the mania which shook the east and brought the 'communism' down was The Beatles and not lennon, mc cartney, harrison or starr..remove anyone and its not beatles...about this song..well its the best song in SPLHCB like all of them..its another simply genius song by George The Harrison.. | |
| Pink Floyd – Us and Them Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| this song is after 'money' and is definitely about war. its a fantastic political song. most of the song is quite self explanatory..'the general sat and the lines on the map' is probably one of the best line written in the history of rock..it means that millions in the war for a mile of land while just two man sit and decide thousands of miles..brilliant.. 'for want of the tea and a slice'.wowww..still the best line of the song and probably the whole of album is 'listen son said the man with gun.there's room for you inside'.. how true and fantastic is that.. it seems when france and germany fought in the WW1 after yeras of war there was a time when soldiers from the bunker during lunch hours went across and ate with their enemies..unbelievable but true..this line is metaphor about those two rivals... an old man is saving a young rival from his own people..how can someone write something like this..hats off!!! | |
| Pink Floyd – Learning to Fly Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| weird!! people have not realized that most of the songs by floyd are not on them.I feel sorry for them when people treat them as a 'self-indulgent' band..people this song is also about you and me like the whole of wall and not about gilmore license. Its I who is learning to fly it's I who is toungue-tied-twisted-earth-bound-misfit, Its I who see my shadows fly across the cloud with my watery eyes, It you who is determined to try and its you who's dreams are unthretaened by the morning light..there's no denying the fact that there's music and there's beatles and there's pink floyd... | |
