| Andrew W.K. – Ready to Die Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Haha what a funny post. Things I found funniest were: People who don't like AWK MUST love emo music. ...I love all types of music but, I HATE emo. AWK is one of the most talented and best musicians around. ...I could name AT LEAST 20 off the tip of my nose without a pause to think. People headbang to AWK. ...Please invest in a cannibal corpse album if you like to headbang. There's your funny non-serious lyrics aswel. It's like a bonus for you. AWK is going to go down in history. ...Sure, I know him. Only because I used to watch music tv religiously around the time he came out. But however, it's nearly 2008 now and where is he? When was the last time you heard him without going to media player or putting a cd on etc.? I'm not mocking him or anything. Just because I don't like him doesn't mean I can mock him. I like plenty of music most people don't. It's just the battle in these comments is so funny. I think the "haters" have won though. AWK is dead, well his career anyway. |

| Slayer – Seasons In The Abyss Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
If you like cover's, Disaffected does a sick cover of this. It's on the Slaytanic Slaughter tribute. This is an awesome song and I reckon the cover's just as good. One thing that makes you wonder is how much better old metal would sound re-recorded with present studio technology. That's why I love cover's. |
|
| Rob Zombie – Hands of Death (Burn Baby Burn) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This has a chant at the start that i've heard in a version of Slayer's "South of Heaven". It goes: Satan! Beelzebub! Leviathon! Asmodeus! Abaddon!" It's the exact recording. If you know who does the cover of the slayer song please tell! | |
| Coal Chamber – Rowboat (FLOOD cover) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Billco ...if you like this song you would have bought the cd so you had the song legally. There's also the cd inlay with the LYRICS. The lyrics here are right. | |
| Slayer – Mandatory Suicide Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
These lyrics explain what will most likely happen to you if you went to war. Would you want to go to war going by these lyrics? No? There you go, anti-war. By the way, look at how many people have snapped for no reason at people here. No wonder people are calling it pro-war. If you would go to certain death by your own choice, then sure, it's pro-war. But, however, then it wouldn't be mandatory... use your brains. |

| Charles Manson – Cease to exist Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Just because someone is insane doesn't make them dumb. He is smart but his mind is demented, causing him to use his smarts for the wrong goal. Sure, killing a group of people is the wrong thing to do. That doesn't mean he's not smart, maybe just confused. We all make mistakes, he just made a really bad one. I'm not 14, i'm 21. You my friend are rediculous for saying all who can see past the crime are. I do not like Charles Manson. He did something he shouldn't have done. That doesn't mean he isn't a smart man. Again, we all make mistakes. | |
| Anathema – Hope Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Danny Cavanagh performs this in acoustic, live with Antimatter and it sounds even better than the album version. | |
| Anathema – Everything Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Another amazing song in another promisingly amazing era of an amazing band. | |
| Anathema – Emotional Winter Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| The intro to this song has Pink Floyd written all over it. Gotta love it. | |
| (+44) – No It Isn't Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This song to me could be very much about the attack on the twin towers from the perspective of the terrorists. Anyone else see that? It seems a bit malicious to be about an ex-friend he spent years and years together with. | |
| Anathema – A Dying Wish Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This song is the best old metal style Anathema song there is. What I don't understand is that you can see every element of their new style in this old style. It's just asthough someones tuned the radio better and got rid of the static giving a cleaner, clearer more perfected sound. | |
| Powerman 5000 – Bombshell Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
Diaturbed ...a lord of metal?!?! Are you on crack? Their songs all sound exactly the same. Anywho... PM5K is best as radio music. The kind that you don't listen to by choice but if it's on you'll enjoy it. So it's not bad but at the same time it's not good. |
|
| Opeth – Demon Of The Fall Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This song is definately one of Opeth's finest! There's not one bit of the song that's a let down. | |
| Kisschasy – Black Dress Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Ok anyone that has said the lyrics are disgusting or wrong shouldn't be giving an analysis of this song. It's beautiful from the love involved in the story. He not in denial about her being dead either. He knows she's dead and decided that heaven can't have her. But yet I still don't think he believes in heaven. It's a metephore for not wanting to leave her alone. I think he believes that your body is the only 'you'. There is no afterlife 'you' or a ghost 'you'. So to be with her, his body has to be with hers. Once your dead, your dead, your body is the only thing left of you. So he dug her up and treated her like he normally would. It's the only way to see her again. He's then decided to be with her forever and climb in because it's the only way for them to be together forever. It's just a happy ending to a non-christian story in a way. It's what we would write off as insane, but to him, it's normal. That's why there is nothing wrong with the lyrics. It's perfectly sane and in no way is intended in bad taste. I'm not saying I would do that personally but if I were to kill myself because the love of my life died it'd be so my body would be with hers. | |
| Anathema – Closer Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Yeah I never noticed that, but you are right. | |
| Anathema – Sleepless Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I agree. HIM is only big because of Bam Margera. If they didn't have Bam pushing their coverage they'd be nowhere now. They're crap and they should be scared that a Anathema is going to factualise that if they support. | |
| Anathema – Panic Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This is a cool song. ...does anyone else notice that maybe the first part kind of resembles a spider and a fly? | |
| Cradle of Filth – The Black Goddess Rises II Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| It's obviously about a love interest of Dani's. If you know CoF you will know Gabrielle pops up a bit... | |
| Anathema – Temporary Peace Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
Well most of Anathemas songs have a feeling of the loss of a loved one. This song is like he's beginning to feel at peace with the lost lover. In the verses it's basically saying there's a hurt inside of him but as the waves wash over the pain is disappearing (he's feeling better over time), "all the waves are washing over all that hurts inside of me". "Laughter floats upon the breeze", he can feel happiness coming back. The last part (the beautiful sounding bit) sounds asthough he's believing that there's a heaven("Rumor in the sky", "Beyond this beautiful horizon") and that's where he will be re-aquainted with his lover once again. There's so many thoughts when he goes to bed because that's where your mind runs wild. He thinks about when he's going to go to heaven and "starts to feel a sort of temporary peace". I could say alot more but I think that'll kick start your mind and get you on the right track. Listen to some of their older sad slow songs and then listen to this afterwards and you'll get the feeling i'm talking about. |

| Anathema – Better Off Dead Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This song is bloody excelent. I see it as a sorry from God for not making the universe up to our expectations. When, if you believe it, he created us and I suppose it's a reminder that nothing is perfect. So we shouldn't be so demanding and be thankful for what we have. | |
| Killswitch Engage – Hope Is... Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Killswitch are religious ...well jesse david leach was anyway. I think this song can be seen as spreading the word of the bible, but however I think it's more to do with standing up and actually helping world peace be achievable instead of sitting by and expecting other people to create it. We all want it so why are we not doing anything about it? Well that's how I see it anyway. | |
| Charles Manson – Cease to exist Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I agree he's a smart man. Ofcourse what he did was not right. Listen to some of his speeches and think about what he's saying. It's basically that we're all just killing ourselves and we are all just hypocrits. He knows more than you people who judge him. | |
| Charles Manson – Sick City Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I think it's about how we're killing the world and just sitting by knowing it's happening but "What can we do? We're just people". The reason for it being a sick city is because it's the cities that are the most polluted. And everyone in them is too blame so they're the sick people. | |

APC only APC-ized it and they did a good job at making it thier style. But upon listening to this version I must say I like it better. |

| Marilyn Manson – In The Shadow Of The Valley Of Death Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
This song is beautiful. It means something to me when I listen to it but I can't pick what it is. Interestingly I just noticed right now that there's the sound of marching in the background for the beat and then when the drums kick in they stay in time with the marching. This album as a whole is a really well thought out design. |

| Marilyn Manson – Inauguration Of The Mechanical Christ Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
It's supposed to be a cry from jesus saying that he is not in the tv. I think this because he's rising on a cross made from tv's whilst performing this, so I guess what he's trying to say is these days tv has become like a god to us. "God is in the TV". It's pretty straight forward really. Olivia - Symphonies don't have any lines and they're still songs. |
|
| Rammstein – Stirb Nicht Vor Mir Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| The phrase "Don't die before I do" has so much love in it. I think it's a fucking excelent song. You can see the translations at www.herzeleid.com | |
| Marilyn Manson – Count to Six and Die (The Vacuum of Infinite Space Encompassing) Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| The fireworks are a celebration going on outside. The person trying to kill herself is Coma White. The celebration could be something to do with the fact that her dad is president White. She doesn't kill herself as she is in the story later on in Mechanical Animals (Where I think her suicide attempt is successful). Everybody's forgetting that all the songs on HW, MA and AS are a collective story in the order of how I named them. If you want a better understanding of the songs on these albums stop downloading a song here and there, buy the three albums and look at the inserts as you listen to them. Being more familiar with the albums and the story as a whole makes the whole thing easier to understand. There's a site with a shit load of imformation on it all called The Nachtkabbarett http://www.nachtkabarett.com/ Enjoy | |
| Marilyn Manson – Cryptorchid Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
There's very impotant parts in the background. "5, 6, 7, 8, Never 7, 8, 9, 10, Heaven 4, 3, 2, 1, Never get to seven" and "I wish that I had balls". also on the first time the end part is sung it sounds asthough it's saying "Twitch your finger". That doesn't make anymore sense to me though. I just can't pick out prick from the vocal pattern. It's obviously about being innocently forced into christianity at a young age when you know no better than to believe what your being told as factual. And, then ultimately hating it. The boy as a worm is first being introduced to christ. The worm consuming the boy is Christianity sucking him in. Saying it's never considered rape means someone being forced into christianity is not considered a bad thing when basically it's brainwashing. It's no better than a cult. "each time I look outside my mother dies, I feel my back is changing shape" It means he's questioning Christianity and it's hurting his mother. He can feel himself growing to hate the devious ways of christianity and feel his wings forming. The first verse has been analysed what I believe to be correct already. But I still don't quite understand the last four lines. The best I understand from it is this is where he find's out he's the Anti-christ to be. But anyway this is what I think of the song because it's basically how I feel about christianity and how society is modeled around an old book ...sounds stupid doesn't it? I've just grown to hate the fact that people are forced into religion when it's supposed to be our choice to believe it or not. I hate christianity for the fact they don't stand for what they believe in half the time, they just disregard thier rules to breed more sheep. I wouldn't cosider myself an anti-christ though, just an atheist. Haha, well sorry for the bit at the end I just get worked up on that subject. I almost wrote a heap more but I couldn't be stuffed. |

| Class of '99 – Another Brick in the Wall, Pt. 2 Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
ok Mercsl55amg stop trying to be technical, you got it wrong. sure we all know Pink Floyd wrote this song, Manson did not (nor did he cover it) and Class of '99 did this particular cover. kingorton was saying this cover was a one hit wonder from Class of '99. sure he didn't say Floyd did it first but he didn't say Class of '99 wrote it either, that was your own conclusion. also if you know so much you would know that this song, as most of The Wall was written by only Roger Waters. so maybe kingorton was refering to that by saying "he", therefore knowing more than you shitstick. you've made a fool of yourself, now go and hide. |

| Dry Kill Logic – TRACK 13 Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| who cares if hes fixing lyrics?! it helps people who are looking for them you idiot. | |
| Killswitch Engage – Rise Inside Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| This song is easily Killswitches best song. It's a shame Jesse left because Howard just doesn't have the right sound to replace him. They should have renamed the band and started anew. It would have made it better for me. The guitars and drums can always sound the same but a singer is different. | |
| Tupac Shakur – Changes Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
Everybody looks at things differently, everyones heads tick differently thats why we have so much diversity and styles (weather it be music, dress, interests, tastes etc). It's time to accept that a goth dresses in black, it's time to accept that if your living in a different country to respect their customs and don't expect them to change for you (that my sound contradictory but it's right to an extent), it's time to walk down the street and say hello to strangers instead of judge them by their looks. Those things are just small insignificant things, however if alot of small things like those were cleared up, the world would start being better, gangs would slowly deteriorate and people would start getting along. Also I'm from Australia and our government is alot better with poverty than America. The only poor people over here are basically the lazy ones. Anybody can get any job here providing you have the qualifications if needed. Most the people who are poor and into crime are Aboriginals (not being rasist in any way). Just over here when they're in thier early to mid-teens they're to caught up in trying to be like African-American gangters which gives them a bad reputation later on in life. I get called a white cunt by black people but if I were to reply with black cunt, thats me belted by a whole bunch of black people. I guess my main point here is 'You can't just say you want equality and not put in any effort yourself'. Ofcourse there is people like Tupac, Martin Luther King etc who do stand up and say something, maybe more need to show the initiative. I'd love to grow up to a world with equaulity. Lately iv'e been right into trying to be a nicer person, maybe everybody else could give it a go aswel. |

| most of you people have no respect. max is showing his respect for the victims. he chose to not do it with a song to make money off, but with a non-profitable minute silence. good on him i say. maggotface thats out of line, thats a fucked thing to say. | |
