I love this song!! I think this song is not about a long distance relationship but rather a dying one. As in the girl is dying... my thoughts... "Dreams aren't bad, I had to admit I love the girl But God only knows it's Getting harder to see the sun coming through" Maybe this is about him. He used to dream, to try to forget he would lose her (maybe she has a terminal illness??) but he loves her and has to stop dreaming. "it's getting harder to see the sun coming thru" could mean it's so hard to look on the bright side anymore. There isn't anything happy in his life anymore. "I love you - But what are we going to do? " Maybe this is about him asking her "what are we going to do?" maybe before she dies, after she dies... I don't really know. "Picture I'm the dreamer I'll take you deeper Down to the sleepy glow Time is a low, Don't you know? What are we going to do? " I think this is about not having much time left before she dies. He's singing her to sleep with "picture I'm the dreamer... I'll take you deeper... etc." I don't know. Has anyone ever sung you to sleep? Or maybe he's trying to tell her everything will be alright in the end. "When you go down All the sick and selfless days I want to see you again I love you - But what are we going to do? " I think this is about the end of her. "when you go down..." is a hint. "All the sick and selfless days"... Sick as in illness. Selfless as in him helping her... when you help you're all about the other person, not yourself. "I want to see you again" Maybe after she was gone? Well whatever you think the song means. This is my opinion... I actually think I'm right bc all of the song has to do with this but w/e... Who knows |
