Suburban Knights Lyrics
ayyyyyyy
ohhhhhhhh
ahhhhhhhhhh
ayyyyyyyy
suburban days, they last so long
each shop and office, we sing our song
we all sing "we aint got nothing, nothing to do, a big fat nothing, nothing for me nothing for you"
suburban dreams, just out of reach
work till you die, thats what they teach you at school
with that in mind, whats there to lose
my friends and i dont stop until we've got fags and booze
hear them all singing
ayyyyyy we're the ones that you've forgoten
ooooooh but we will not be denied
ahhhhh coming out of the shadows
ayyyy yeah yeah we rock the sattellite
suburban nights, they get so hot
people get angry, we sing our song we all sing "but global terror they say, we are at war, but aint got time for that coz these bills keep dropping through my door" oh oh
hear them all singing
ayyyyyy we're the ones that you've forgotten
ohhhhhhh out of mind out of sight
ahhhhhhhh coming out of the shadows
ayyyyyyy yeah yeah we rock the sattellite
all these people who, critisize us well, they're only saying what were seing with our own eyes
this one way system it aint, aint paradise
not everybody wants to race, wants to fight
hear them all singing
ayyyy we're the ones that you've forgotten
ohhhhh but we will not be denied

I LOVE THIS SONG isnt it kind of about working class morals and stuff how youre never going to get to stop working, and just to live for the moment etc,
they say, we are at war, but aint got time for that coz these bills keep dropping through my door" oh oh
i like that bit
"these bills keep dropping through my door" - a great part, for politicians to remeber bout ordinary people daily issues...
this song grew on me right when i heard it the first time. it's so typical hard-fi. cash mashine quality like.
Rubbish, utter rubbish.
rubbish? what?? i love this song. it keeps growing on me. i love this whole album.
I hope each member of this band dies painfully for their crimes to music, this is an awful song from what i've heard is an awful album by an awful band. Anyone who likes this song really must be a bit simple...
This song is absolutly AMAZING live. We, the crowd did a lot of the "Ayyyyyyy, ahhhhh"s and it was just a brilliant night!
Alex_The_Red... I hope YOU die painfully for your crimes to music. I bet you sit at home listening to dodgy trance shit, My Chemical Romance or some other piece of shit.
Richard Archer (The lead singer) said that parts of this album are autobiographical.
He left Staines for a better life somewhere else thinking that he was getting nowhere in the dead-end town. The band that he was in turned out to be going nowhere and after his life crumbled and the death of his father, Richard returned to Staines. I feel the whole album is about this as well as Can't Get Along from the first album.
SUBURBAN KNIGHTS: The first track, the first step: Dead end 9 to 5s in the slow suburban town of Staines.
Just remembered, Can't Get along is on this album. Just adds to the story.
