| Avril Lavigne – Sk8er Boi Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I think the lyrics to this song are creative I only searched it to find out what it was about. But everything else just sounds like everything else deemed as "pop punk" from the 90s to 2000. Listen to the guitar riffs in this song and listen to damn it or carousel by blink 182. I guess this shit sells to 6th graders. | |

| Rage Against the Machine – Down Rodeo Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| during a time when police brutality was particularly high (as if its not now?) the black panthers armed themselves with shotguns and police radios. When the dispatcher or police said over the radio that they were arresting someone black they would go to the scene armed with their shotguns and stand keeping there distance while the arrest took place, in order to intimidate police and make sure we were being treated fairly. | |
| mewithoutYou – Wolf Am I! (And Shadow) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I believe Aaron is talking about the bible passage "be ware of wolves in sheeps clothing." Jesus was refering to those people who appear to be holy, righteous, and good followers of the will of God. But inward many of these people as Jesus goes on to say "they are ravening wolves." They are evil, and easily give into the desires of this world. Aaron is saying he so often is portrayed as a righteous person (which i believe he is =)) but hes not a good person inwardly. | |

| my friend bob marley only became somewhat peaceful when he got popularized by europeans/americans. He was actually a rudeboy before all that happend. | |
| Flee the Seen – 300 Voices at Liberty Hall Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
I actually know Kim their singer personally... Liberty Hall is a very big concert venue here in Kansas City, She said in an interview with a local radio station that she came up with the lyrics for this song during a period before the band had been signed to Facedown Records where they had been doubting (thus the title of the cd doubt becomes the new addiction) whether or not they would make it out of this town. I guess some band was playing that night (I believe it was beloved but im not sure) and everyone was singing along with the lyrics to the song and she was there with the other band members and at that moment she knew that God was with her and everything would turn out okay. so the song is more or less about how we need to just stop being so overwelmed with everything and listen to what God is saying to us. |

| Fergie – London Bridge Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Today I was thinkin. And maybe I'll sound like a perv for thinking this. But could her london bridge be a metaphor for her underwear. Like the underwear looks like a bridge between her legs. Just a thought | |
| Bob Marley and the Wailers – I Shot The Sheriff Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I love the line "Everytime I plant a seed he say kill it before it grow" like a marijuana seed, then he says "he say kill them before they grow" like hes referencing his children. | |
| Flee the Seen – Broken Thoughts of Praise Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| The breakdown at the end of this song is amazing | |
| The Chariot – And Then, Came Then Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I love how Josh always uses "she" in reference to lucifer or some type of chaos thats going to unfold. If you look at norma jeans old lyrics like face:face he does it in that song as well. | |
| The Chariot – Yanni Depp Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I think in this song Josh is refering to the bible verse, about wolves in sheeps clothing. He uses that as a theme a lot in his song writting. White teeth and black lungs might be talking about christians who try to look pure on the outside, but on the inside their souls aren't so pure....I still can't quite figure out "the revolutionary fade 'I get bored" part. | |
| Norma Jean – I Used To Hate Cell Phones But Now I Hate Car Accidents Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
I love the line "It's so simple yet they don't find...I'ts so simple yet they don't mind" I believe after that it goes on to say "it's so simple but now they find." This could be in reference to how some people are so quick to dismiss the word of God their whole life and they go through all this drama and pain when all they need is God who has been there the whole time. Finally they die and they realise it was all true. And all this money, fame fortune and everything that comes with it doesn't really matter. Just a thought =) |

| Norma Jean – Creating Something Out Of Nothing, Only To Destroy It Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
I think this song is about how because Scogin is a christian his war is bigger than just man vs man, its him trying to prove his worthyness to God. And his war against sin. His weapons against sin are the word of God in his heart. Ultimately as christians if we use the word of God to fight off sin, Satan's weapons are useless. Like bringing a knife to a gun fight =) |

| Norma Jean – Dilemmachine: Coalition, Hoax Lyrics | 20 years ago |

Yeh this song could definitely be a war protest song. "no , destruction is destructive" arguing that nothing good will come out of the destruction caused by the war. This song could also be talking about the "war" faced by christians against sin. Sorta like all the pleasures found in sin, like sleeping around, may seem good now. But in the end when you have to pay for it "hell will have no mercy." I think this could all be in reference to when jesus said "what good is it for a man to gain the whole world then forfeit himself, he must deny himself and take up his cross" What does everyone else think? |
