hey, thanx, sixstar!! hmm.. i think this song is about the harsh and beautiful truth of life. "Don't wait, Don't wait The lights will flash and fade away The days will pass you by Don't wait To lay your armor down" armor is ur protection, right?? but what is it really protecting you from?? the truth. the real essense of life. "The road is now a sudden sea" the sea/water represents change. that is what life is: change. so don't even try to "plan" ur life. u'd be better off trying to control the weather. "And suddenly, you're deep enough To lay your armor down" hmmmmmm....... maybe that means, ur mature or strong enough to be vunurable. or (since armor sinks) ur "suddenly" at the fork in the road to choose between a real life or a sugar-coated one, knowledge or ignorance. it's ur choice either way...... basically, he's teliing us to find a dream, get off our lazy and fearful butts and make it a reality!!!!! there's nothing wrong w/ dreaming (where else does reality come frm??) u abuse it when u dwell there......... ne ways!!! (makes sesnse huh? 3 flights up and at the end back down) cuz the ONLY fault i've found is how that album ends... it was YC, but i would've ADORED it if it ended it w/ this masterpiece.... i like how it puts you in a trance.... and unearthes some of your most blackest memories you tried to erase because they were of such SUCH good times............ i don't want to pull this piece apart, because it's not really what he's saying (it's still important, guys) but more of HOW he says it with that lovely music in the back....... one of those songs where it's whatever you want it to be. :) |

wow. i (FINALLY) found this on youtube and i'm speechless.... all i could do at the end was just applaud. *sighs* i have a "konstatine" in my life..... *sigh* fate had torn us apart..... one of the cruelest, bloodest ways..... he'll always ALWAYS be there...... 4 me to (mis)use his memory by comparing him to other guys i'm interested in and unsuprisingly i'm not interested in that new guy nemore.......... since then i haven't viewed love as a good thing (like i childishly did...) but rather as a one way street 2 pain and ruin. *silence* but *ahem* i think i kno what the jimmy eat world and car thing's about... JEW's night drive.... yea...... "lay back, baby and we'll do this right..." yea that one. it all took place in a car. and i have a theory about the "room" he's talking aobut in the chorus... maybe it's the freedom they dont' have 2 sleep w/ each other. he dreams about it, tries it (the whole failed beer thing), but it doesn't happen until the end. :) all in all, the only song that can beat this one on pullin my heartstings is blunt's "goodbye my lover" but it's still AMAZING!!! *applauds 2 andrew and his CRZY MAD writing skills!!!* o and elcapitanloco, darling. if u don't like this song and posted that after all these 54 pgs of pple sayin how much they luv it...... did u hit ur head, darling?? |

i have to give nod 2 (some (- the pple talking about how sucksy the song's lyrics r... why r u here?? do u have 2 much time on your hands?? i'll give you somehting to do...) of) ya'll!! i believe/agree it is about the craze about having the "perfect" hollywood face and it being so "cheap" cuz of their husbands. the first part sounds like "the grass isn't always greener on the other side" and hmm.. yea. it did remind me of fight club, but i didn't understand a lot of its morals/ideas... (if someone could show me the light on this i'd appreciate it!) so now he's sayin that "it's not the quality that bothers me...it's the means..." they used "means" differently and i think it means the REASON on why pple r gettin plastic surgery. the "i do, i don't" part sounds like he's leaving his plastic gf, but "ll because u get it" get what?? o. and why is adam a machine and this plastic girl sensitive?? sorry if there's more ?'s than .'s!! |

to begin w/.. i like this new up-beat keane!! lyrical-wise.. i feel like it connects to me. like he knew me nad wrote it 4 me!! (it's weird...) but apart from a relationship, what if he's talking about life?? its twists and turns (see MV) stressing us out (-"is it any wondor i feel tired...uptight...") and confusing us (- "i don't know what's right") and paranoid (-"afraid" "betrayed")?? interesting about the "lonely cathedral". does he find nothing in a church?? (like me?? and death cab 4 cutie's crooked teeth??) strange ideas, i kno that's what i feel..... :) o and "love is just a lyric in a children's rhyme" :D |

*sigh* guys, this is the BEST piano solo song i've heard in my entire life. ( and believe me i've heard quite a couple...) this REALLY shows bert's full ability on the piano and 2 believe that he "wrote" it all in his head like Mozart makes me respect him. *silence* this song is something i would listen 2 before/while i sleep.... the grungy part gives me chill bumps....... but the way it picks back up gives me hope. and i would LUV 2 listen 2 this while i'm out in my backyard (which is beautiful...) and just breathe.... smile at the sky, God, and everything He's given me - the good and the bad...... (and that cough does snap u back!!) i like how that tells us 2 get off our butts and make something of life. best instramental.... :) |

i would break down this song piece by piece, but i think this one part sums it all up.... i believe..... this song is about gettin saved. "Only one thing (- gettin saved) big enough to fill the void that's inside of you (frm personal expreience, this is BEYOND TRU!! gettin saved made/makes me think deeper, harder...differently... ya'll christians kno what i'm talkin about...) It's just a breath away (O YEAH!! guys it really is... i believe i got saved on my bedroom floor listening to relient k's "when i go down". that night i asked/pleaded/begged for him to hold my hand..*silence*.. and he never lets go, guys.... ) you can breathe today breathe today (getitng saved is REALLY like takin ur first breath in ur new life. if u've ever seen death cab for cutie's MV "title and registration", it's like that. u've got 2 believe It to feel It and u KNO It when you feel It.) GREAT SONG OVERALL!!! MV was DEFINITLY anit-suicide (LUVED IT!!) but what i'm REALLY amazed about htis band is their AMAZING sounds AND christian lyrics......... when i first saw "i'm so sick" i was like...
