someone finally told me what this was about. liz liked a guy for a really long time. she didn't see him for a while, then saw him at a party. he is surrounded by girls, she begins to wonder what she ever saw in him. he is the may queen, a show-off. I seriously don't think 'pushing in the pin' is a sexual reference for some reason. I agree with the other interpretations of it (sewing, being pinned/trapped ect). I also always thought the pin had to do with some kid of pain. |

I always thought the meaning of this song was very obvious. Basically it's about a guy she's in love/lust with, she wants to be cool tall vulnerable and luscious, because if she was she would be "involved" with him. She feels like the girls he's used to dating are a lot better than her and he's out of his league. She feels like she was born to lead a different life, and doesn't understand why her life is the way it is now. I don't really understand the beginning of the song though, I used to think it was about his house being so big but there's some other meaning to it too. |

Okay people, this is my interpretation of the song: I think this song is about a girlfriend going on vacation and hooking up with other guys and cheating on the narrator. The narrator figures out what the girlfriend did though gossip and other friends. The girlfriend knows that he knows what happened. She doesn't call him for a really long time and when she finally DOES call him, it's already too late. He lets her kiss him one last time and the kiss just makes him think of all the other guys she's been making out with. |
