Does anyone else watch The L Word? Dana came to see T&S perform this while on an acid trip, and it was so cool and cute. I think about it every time I hear this.
to me it sounds like this song is about after two people have sex... one of them is staying awake waiting for the sound of the door because the other one is going to leave (one night stand/hookup kindof thing??)

Yea, I think it's about a one night stand...and how the speaker stays up listening for the sound of the door...knowing that if it's openend, it is b/c the other person is leaving. She alson knows that if the person wants her, she'll take her for sure. And THAT is a "love type thing"...i hope that made sense.
i really want to know what the "dark things" are...and I kind of have an idea as to what the "sweet humming" is but I'm not sure.
I watched that episode of The L Word too, about a year ago. Dana was so funny and drunk.
