| Puscifer – Momma Sed Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Yeah. A lot of this album seems serious, though its also pretty funny as a hole. This is probobly the most serious though, which is what he meant. I love it. |

| Rx Bandits – One Million Miles an Hour, Fast Asleep Lyrics | 19 years ago |
so good. this song is about how were in the digital age. how we are stupified by it. the first lines references George W saying "Yeah we all listen to everything the man says Can’t speak a sentence, we got the words placed" but we dont even recognize the fact that hes a moron that cant even speak the words that were written for him.... why? because we're all running around a million miles an hour, fast asleep in our awareness. |
| Rx Bandits – To Our Unborn Daughters Lyrics | 19 years ago |
this song is amazing. its to women everywhere. written as if they were talking to their daughters who have yet to discover the role-defining stereotypes and pressures put on women in the modern world. theyre telling them not to give into the stereotyping and let that define who they are (or who they will be) its basically saying not to listen to what the world tells them they should be. |
| Blackfield – My Gift of Silence Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| damn. blackfield is amazing. | |
| Blackfield – Some Day Lyrics | 19 years ago |
this song is my favorite off of the new album. beautiful. |
| Sean Lennon – Dead Meat Lyrics | 19 years ago |
i dont think this is directed toward his ex. i think its directed toward his best friend. He actually died in a motorcycle accident before they could reconcile, and it effected him deeply. I think this is like what he was feeling when he found out that it was him. |
| Muse – Thoughts of a Dying Atheist Lyrics | 20 years ago |
I think this song is about falling in love with a spider monkey and not being able to tell him how you feel. That, or its about being at the dentist, getting a root canal. The singer is on Nitrous Oxide and Vicodin and sees God while fucked up, having his teeth drilled, and hes scared that theyre working on the wrong tooth. Thats my 2 cents. |
| The Streets – Weak Become Heroes Lyrics | 20 years ago |
"i sorta see this song as the mindset of a raver." NO SHIT! "to someone who isn't that bright in the wide world of hard drugs." X isnt a hard drug in any sense |
| Kenna – Face the Gun Lyrics | 20 years ago |
fuck, kenna rocks. i cant wait until this new album comes out. hopefully ill be able to see him live. |
| CKY – Fat Fuck Lyrics | 20 years ago |
i thought it was "im on the lou in the middle of washington", not "im on a leave in the middle of washington" seeing as how hes doing it in a british accent, and the song is about shitting. |
| CKY – Sara's Mask Lyrics | 20 years ago |
greco_punk, youre a moron... did you not read the 7 posts desribing exactly what this song is about and even the context in which it wasx made? this song rocks. |
| Porcupine Tree – Halo Lyrics | 20 years ago |
its just as much about fundamentalist christians too, not just muslims. but moreso about peoples religous ego complex... holier-than-thou syndrome (which fundamentalist muslims and christians would be a part of |
| Porcupine Tree – Synesthesia Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| great lyrics... reminds me of roger waters' army rants on his later pink floyd work | |
| Porcupine Tree – The Sound Of Muzak Lyrics | 20 years ago |
i thought that this song was the MOST interpretable on the album... obviously about bullshit muzak in todays culture... music, one of the wonders of the world... anyway, i think this is the catchiest 7/4 song singer pink floyds money. |
| Porcupine Tree – Trains Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| steve wilson (singer) grew up right next to trains. youll hear samples of trains and references in a few other songs. | |
| Porcupine Tree – Radioactive Toy Lyrics | 20 years ago |
im surprised no one commented on this classic PT songs... my favorite from the earliest PT days. yea... obviously about atomic bombs. |
| Porcupine Tree – The Sleep of No Dreaming Lyrics | 20 years ago |
possibly my favorite from signify... perfect. |
| Porcupine Tree – Linton Samuel Dawson Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| yea, i think thats pretty obvious... especially with the "just reached 25" (LSD-25) | |
| Porcupine Tree – Open Car Lyrics | 20 years ago |
really dude... this doesnt point to incest at all.. just sex and feeling bad about it... sounds to me like the subject giving into lust and cheating the open car, i figured mean a convertable car with the top down. |
| Porcupine Tree – Lazarus Lyrics | 20 years ago |
i dont believe the incest bit, though i see where youre coming from... if it helps, i know that this album's lyrics are based on an unproduced movie script that steve wilson and a friend wrote... it seems this song is the subject, david, i guess being born again... maybe leaving his old town thats been holding him back. i dunno, but the incest idea you love doesnt seem to click at all. |
| Porcupine Tree – Hatesong Lyrics | 20 years ago |
steve said before this song in Amsterdam, opening for a Marillion concert, "okay, now wed like to play for you pocupine tree's antidote to all the the boybands, all the girlbands, britney spears, mariah carey, whitney houstin, celine dion... all of the peeople who sing so called (does the quote fingers) "love songs"... this is porcupine tree's hatesong." this is the first song ive heard by PT, which led me to getting into one of my favorite bands... still one of my favorites. |
| Porcupine Tree – Heartattack in a Lay By Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| perfection | |
| Porcupine Tree – Four Chords That Made A Million Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| he writes many songs about the deplorable state of popular, mainstream music... this is obviously one of them | |
| Porcupine Tree – Blackest Eyes Lyrics | 20 years ago |
im pretty sure its about rape. well... a serial rapist. |
| Porcupine Tree – Dark Matter Lyrics | 20 years ago |
damn this is one of my favorites of the early PT era. i wish i was in steve wilsons head when he wrote all his lyrics so i could know what some of these songs are about. absolutely wonderful |
| Porcupine Tree – Arriving Somewhere But Not Here Lyrics | 20 years ago |
god, this song is absolute gold. my favorite PT song to date... Akerfeldts guitar part is such a perfect cameo for this song. i dont know if this is about a drunk driving accident, there are a few things pointing toward this, but i have a feeling its about something else. if it helps, i know the lyrics for the deadwing album were based on an unproduced script that steve wilson and his filmmaker friend wrote. but i dunno. its a good guess, none-the-less. |
| Strapping Young Lad – Skeksis Lyrics | 20 years ago |
its probobly just me... but this song pretty much sums up my a lot of my experiences during bad trips... but that i mean TRIPPING ON HALLUCINOGENIC DRUGS... i enjoy my bad trips and find them to be the most inciteful... but to those who have tripped and to those that have had a bad trip... keep it in mind while listening to this song and reading the lyrics and see if you get where im coming from... im sure someone will. melting into eternity and coming to terms with it. everything relates to everything... everything is a metaphor for everything else... |
