this is a powerful song in lyrics and music however im not sure what it means. i think its talking about those of us who struggle inside our mind; looking for self-meaning. and often we find ourselves and who we really are in our pain and trials but is it worth it? the pain can change us to be better but too much pain can kill us. i'm not sure what it means either exactly, but that's the beauty of being the artist. nonetheless.. it is a powerful song that obviously made all of us stop and wonder what emotions were being said. jon has an amazing voice and easily portrays the passion of this song. |

I agree with a lot of the thoughts above but i think this is a song more about growing up and realizing how little all the people and popularity really means once you find that one person. In younger days I do my schoolwork while the neighbors play But stare into space With no feeling to convey With no look on my face we have different phases in life but until everyone realizes we're all the same, we just have to find that one person that will remind us we stood out. |
