i can't believe that no one has said anything about this song! well, it's meaning is quite obvious, so i'll just say that this is the most amaaaaazing song in the history of the earth. i get goosebumps when i listen to it. also, i know bob dylan also has a version of this song; i am unsure about johnny cash. i still prefer nick's version.
