I think this is about Samson, but not Sampson and Delilah. Well, it could be, but the line that says: "and the bible doesn't mention us" makes me think that this is a woman who came BEFORE Delilah and it says that she loved him first, perhaps before this Delilah came into his life.

I never thought of it the way anna put it...that's lovely...
For some reason, I thought of the statue of liberty. And the line about blaming was about immigrants coming in and then later Americans blame them for all our problems. Whatever it's about, it's beautiful. |

The end is so powerful. I sing along at the top of my lungs more times than I'd like to admit. I really like the line about folding in half easily when thinking of the pictures of success. It's true--it's really hard to compare yourself to what life is showing us... French films and all that jazz.

This song tends to be a bit confusing for me because of the back and fourth. A man is being unloyal to his wife with the narrarator of the song (Jenny, or whomever else it is) and I guess he says he'll leave his wife for her but then he never does. I don't know. It's an awesome song, nonetheless. |

The part of the song that talks about her getting lonely and calling the fellow, that part is cool. This song is what a lot of girls (and guys) get themselves into... you know a person is wrong for you, but you like them anyway.
