It seems like it would be about Bush. "Well our souls are all mistaken in the same misguided way" All the other countries think that all Americans are just like Bush, so we are judged in a wrong way. "Well our visions of our glory have spiraled down the drain" Thoughts of this country being invincible have been proven wrong, and now things have gone to hell "Your bruises are reminders of naivete and trust You're only feeling stronger cause your body's getting numb" I think thats about how the Bush family trusted the bin Ladens and they turned around and attacked the country. Then feeling like the country is rebounding even though things have gotten much worse. "The noose has fallen And all my friends are crawling The noose has fallen And enemies are rising A truth appalling " I'm not sure about the crawling part, I think it has to do with all the other countries maybe trying to crawl away from the mess this country has gotten into, and then the enemies part would be about how this country does nothing more than make more enemies everyday, and frankly the truth sucks. That's my interpritation. |
