when you think of a metal head tell me what comes to mind well maybe stone washed jeans a mullet a guy who is evolutionary one step behind well when rob halford came out of the closet it may have not been a big thing well today we are one step closer to hearing the metal dudes sing " I want to be I want to be a homosexual" statistics say chances of being gay are what one in ten that means there is a 40 percent chance that one of the guys in pantera likes men hey so I think its safe to say many more other metal guys are homosexual that may frustrate the gay community why would they want the ugly metal heads available see I old you metal dudes are gay too and I happen to see the proof so far that your sexuality determines the way you play guitar ew I'd love for everyone in heavy metal to be homosexual if not only to make the nazi fucking pricks in slayer a little uncomfortable

I think this song is about how people who don't pay attention in statistics class miscalculate probabilities and bring shame upon their families for doing so.

he called slayer nazi pricks because they, in their european tour had swasticas on their instruments (at least kerry king did). atom has a picture of this on his site which is atomandhispackage.com

this song is a salute to rob halford of judas priest. he was openly gay and in a metal band. atom wrote this song to commend halford on being openly gay in a scene where there is so much homophobia.

i dont think slayer are actually nazis or trying to promote nazi beliefs. kerry king has said in numerous interviews that he's just a world war 2 buff. other bands have worn swastikas too, just for the shock value, especially early punk bands (sex pistols, new york dolls, siouxe and the banshees, etc) and they certainly arent nazis.

and i have heard slayers song "angel of death" about aushwitz, but most of their songs are about death and pain, this one is just in the context of the holocast. you dont have to agree with the motivation behind something to make a song about it. like i dont think cannibal corpse actually partake in "meat hook sodomy".

I'm not sure about Cannibal Corpse not partaking in meat hook sodomy...good job Halford.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
