i love this song. it talks about how dumb kids act. they shoplift to be cool, "believe" in anarchy, etc. one of atom's best songs, in my opinion.
well shoplifting is cool if its from walmart or the gap etc. if you really knew how much they steal and exploit from workers around the world, you would agree.
the point that atom to make is that shoplifting is not right when done from a small shop, thats probably struggling to get by when faced with corporate competiton.
I just find this song awesome cause there's all these stupid "punk" kids in my school who are "so hardcore" and they are just soo amusing.

i like how he mocks the kids who think anarchy means commiting 'rebellious' acts against the community that should really be adhered- like litter. doing it doesn't prove anything, it just makes shit worse.
exactly. anarchy is fundementally the belief that we could have PEACEFUL co-existance with out the involvement of government. the british punk movement totally skewed what anarchy, at the core means. just the way communism has been skewed by the red scare. communism in theory is utopian. its just that people are to greedy and keep fucking it up. I LOVE ATOM.
...anarchy stems from the idea that... there has never been a government that ever existed (or will ever exist) that did not use force, fear and violence to sustain itself.
thus, if you are an idealist (or just believe that we can work for progression and change our own fate), then anarchy is the ideal we work toward because violence and fear will never bring happiness to all. OH, and anarchism started waaaaaaaaayy before punk rock...so check out stuff like "emma goldman's mother earth" and legit stuff before wearing your fucking anarchy patch little ignorant american kid.
check out (or spare yourself) some rolling stones magazine a little while back with that band Good Charlotte(tm) sporting a huge painted anarchy sign. i just threw up thinking about it.

Sometimes I like to make wierd names and imitate people. Like, "GoodCharlottPunk666" or some shit and act like that, but what court A said was beyond my ability to make up.
He's got a point. They steal because they hate the government, and since the government owns all the stores... wait, ANY stores AT ALL, they're totally getting even with the government, as opposed to say, the store's manager. Way to stick it to them! I guess that means I should track you down and kick your ass, FOR ANARCHY!
