In regards to the meaning of this song:
Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.”
That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Until the end forever,

If we continue in these ways,
Rebellion bends towards hatred.

And forsake the outsiders.

this song is self explanitory, even through the evil corrupt world he's going to keep God and the spirit of Jesus and everything alive in his heart and he wont ever let it die. shawn jonas is so awesome he's the coolest i so want to meet him someday. and hes also coming up with a new band called symphony in peril they're already touring with shawn as lead screamer! i cant wait for a CD shawn is awesome.
this song is one of the best songs before the Where Blood and Fire brings Rest Cd came out. I like nboth versions of this song from all else failed and splinter... The version without the cimble on the beginning sonds a lil better. God Bless!
probably one of the more insightful songs by the second zao line up iteration (of twenty?) . seems hes conveying the inverse effects of the christian faith and christian elitism. the separation from those that christians are ment to serve. its quite humorous as this seems to be the present state of the members of zao. sean had a deeper sence of humility of the human spirit (generally speaking) than anyone ive ever incountered. something that ive never seen in a christian before, and it because of him that, even though i have no intrest in christianity or the beliefs attached to it, I have extreme respect for his words and i can relate to it in ways outside the bounds of a religous perspective.
after sean left the band, with Jessie as front man and dan on the second albumn, lost the presence it had. While the music was still excellent, the etheral impact was lost.

the 2003 remake sounds amazing, dan covered it well. its a lil different but better. Its one of the only songs made better than the origanal. I didnt think this song would get beter and it did. also teh one with teh cymble has more drumming, and another guitarist but eh vocals arnt as good and most of teh extra drumming makes it sounds dumb but at least teh 3rd one was really great.
