Wine is fine but whiskey's quicker
Suicide is slow with liquor
Take a bottle and drown your sorrows
Then it floods away tomorrows
Away tomorrows

Evil thoughts and evil doings
Cold, alone you hang in ruins
Thought that you'd escape the reaper
You can't escape the master keeper

'Cause you feel life's unreal, and you're living a lie
Such a shame who's to blame and you're wondering why
Then you ask from your cask is there life after birth
What you sow can mean hell on this earth
Hell on this earth

Now you live inside a bottle
The reaper's traveling at full throttle
It's catching you but you don't see
The reaper is you and the reaper is me

Breaking laws, knocking doors
But there's no one at home
Made your bed, rest your head
But you lie there and moan
Where to hide, suicide is the only way out
Don't you know what it's really about

Ah, now people, you really know where it's at
Ah, ah you got it, fox
Get the flaps out, Satan, Satan, Satan, ha ha ha

Wine is fine but whiskey's quicker
Suicide is slow with liquor
Take a bottle, drown your sorrows
Then it floods away tomorrows
Take me away
Oh, oh, tomorrow
It's never gettin' fixed, no flaps, nobody, no flaps, nothing?

This song isn't about suicide, but the dangers of alcohol, like the song "Alcohol Demon." Also, THERE ARE NO SUBLIMINAL MESSAGES. As for the teenagers that killed themselves, Ozzy was accused because the teenagers were listening to "Suicide Solution" when they were found dead. Like what Ozzy said: "I swear on mu kid's life I never said get the fucking gun." A great song though.

WHO THE HELL WROTE THAT RANDY KILLED HIMSELF!! Thats it!! get the Fuckin axe and chainsaw and dont forget the salt...to pour on the wounds!!! OH MY GOOOOD!!! DUde I swear the'll need to get Parry-Fucking-Mason on this one!!!

    Okay Rage is gone

this isnt about suicide alrigh? it's about drinking yourself to death. The word solution dosent reffer to a way out or an answer. the term Solution in the tittle would better fit the definition of a mixture like "Chemical Solution" hint hint (whiskey, liquor, take your pick). It means that this solution your drinking is Killing you, you know it, and you keep intaking it. "now you live inside a bottle the reaper's traviling at full throttle" should be proof enough for this.

Also... People dont kill them selves because of a song. thats dumb. When someone is in a certian state of mind they tend to listin to things they relate to. this kid, going through his problem and cosidering suicide, playes this song over and over because he feels it echos him. think about it... someone that has four jobs very well may listin to "taken care of business" over and over again. So this kid blows his fuckin brains out, the parents in the state of depression searching for answers grap the nearest limb to hold onto then they seek revenge.

songs about suicide or murder arnt causes of those things but more like symptoms.

But there is probable one redneck retard that killed themselves over this or somthing similar. i say good ridance dumb people like that shouldent breed anyway

Booze. This song is about the dangers of alcohol. Tt also suggests there's a choice regarding alcoholism and without help, you will slowly kill yourself.

kay randy died in a plane accident, he didnt die from alcohol. ozzy said it was about bon scott but bob daisley says its actually about ozzy's drinking problem.

and suicide solution doenst mean killing yourself is a way to solve a problem... the word solution is used to mean "substance"....get it? alcohol is a substance that will kill you.

oh and to end the debate, its a metaphorical sort of suicide, which isnt actually suicide in lets say legal terms but in practice its basically suicide. bon scott didnt intend to die, which means its technically not suicide, but on the other hand you can say he chose to drink which is a choice that led to his death, which is a lot like suicide.

Clearly, anyone with a brain can see that this song is about alcoholism. Anyone who thinks it's about suicide or convincing someone to kill themselves, is a moron. End of discussion.

"Goodbye to Romance" - Well, that may actually be about suicide.

This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.
