Ooh, pretty baby, ooh, ooh yeah yeah

Baby what you searching for
I'm pretty sure that you just don't know 'cause
You're looking with your body, not your head
You're brilliant and beautiful
But they don't see when they take you home 'cause
You're just another notch that's in their bed
Ooh, oh pretty baby
Oh, pretty baby (ooh, oh) ooh
Ooh, oh pretty baby
(Why you wanna go and do that baby) ooh, oh

I can feel your emptiness, yeah
I can see it behind those eyes
Just waiting for the one who understands
(Someone who understands)
Though I'm nothing like the rest, oh no
I'm invisible because you're blind (blind, baby)
Jaded and blinded to a chance
To take a chance with me
Ooh, oh pretty baby
Ooh, oh
Ooh, oh pretty baby (oh, you're so beautiful)
Ooh, oh (why you want to go and do that baby)

Don't lie to yourself (no, don't you lie)
Don't let them inside while your heart keeps crying (ooh)
Show love for yourself (love for yourself)
Discover your light where you'll find me
(Your light)

No, baby
Don't lie to yourself (no, don't you lie)
Don't let them inside while your heart keeps crying (I know your heart is crying, baby)
Show love for yourself (show love for yourself)
Discover your light where you'll find me
Ah, whoo pretty baby
Oh baby, why you wanna put yourself back there right that girl
Oh pretty baby, ooh ooh
You make me say ooh ooh ooh pretty baby
Ooh ooh, oh, woah
You make me say (ooh ooh ooh) pretty baby
I love you babe
Such a lovely lady (baby)
Why you wanna put yourself back there right that girl
You're gonna miss the chance
Happened there
Tenderness
Don't miss your opportunity
Show me the self-esteem, bae
Pretty thing
A pretty girl, yeah, oh don't you, do not to yourself, baby, no, no, yeah

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
