You kissed the lips of evil,
two months it's all the same
You begged for this man's approval,
like all the rest you'll die in vain.
Sit down this won't take long now,
off my chest these lyrics came.
Your words they eat right through me,
heartbreak's your favorite pain.

The tears we've cried,
this love has died
you're by yourself here tonight
It's what we hide,
with every lie you're by yourself (here tonight)

I think of it each time I touch you,
every time I hear his name.
I'll never let my fucking walls down,
for all of this you are to blame.
Sit down this won't take long now,
off my chest these lyrics came.
Your words they eat right through me,
heartbreak's your favorite pain.

The tears we've cried,
this love has died
you're by yourself here tonight.
It's what we hide,
with every lie you're by yourself (here tonight).
The tears we've cried I'm by your side,
you're by yourself here tonight.
It's what we hide with every lie,
you're by yourself (here tonight)

We stitch these wounds (x6?)

The tears we've cried,
this love has died
your by yourself here tonight.
It's what we hide,
with every lie your by yourself (here tonight)
The tears we've cried I'm by your side,
you're by yourself here tonight.
It's what we hide with every lie,
you're by yourself (here tonight)

Liar. (x9?)

    My Interpretation

Ok so i know this song is purely based on Andy's relationship with Scout and how she cheated.. but every song speaks differently to the one listening so.. i dedicate this song to a past relationship..

You kissed the lips of evil, two months it's all the same You begged for this man's approval, like all the rest you'll die in vain. Sit down this won't take long now, off my chest these lyrics came. Your words they eat right through me, heartbreak's your favorite pain.

1st line : You cheated.. 2nd line : for the two months that we've been together.. your just like the rest.. and i thought you were actually different... 3rd line : you ask for my forgiveness... 4th line : and with your arrogance.. i was the only one who put up through it.. 5th line : listen to my explanations.. i promise to not take TOO much of your PRECIOUS time... 6th line : pretty self explanatory.. 7th and 8th line : all the hurtful things you said.. you're sadistic..you love to see my pain for you..and worst part is, it seems like you don't even care..<<

The tears we've cried, this love has died you're by yourself here tonight It's what we hide, with every lie you're by yourself (here tonight)

1st line : to all the things we've been through 2nd line : it doesn't mean shit now. 3rd line : even though your with someone else.. you still have that lonely feeling inside you.. 4th and 5th line : you try to hide your insecurities but i can see it clearly.. your alone even when you're with her (in my case)<<

I think of it each time I touch you, every time I hear his name. I'll never let my fucking walls down, for all of this you are to blame. Sit down this won't take long now, off my chest these lyrics came. Your words they eat right through me, heartbreak's your favorite pain.

1st line : and we tried to fix our relationship.. but all i think about is her with you.. 2nd line : it hurts me to hear her name coming from your lips.. 3rd line : im stupid enough to trust you so easily and let my guard down. 4th line : i blame you. 5th line : i pushed you to this.. 6th line : but please let me explain.. 7th and 8th line : (now for me this parts reversed and past tense like shes reminiscing before she gave him a second chance ) i see your pain and how much you care.. but I'm afraid to get hurt by you again..<<

The tears we've cried, this love has died you're by yourself here tonight. It's what we hide, with every lie you're by yourself (here tonight). The tears we've cried I'm by your side, you're by yourself here tonight. It's what we hide with every lie, you're by yourself (here tonight)

1st line : the tears we shed for each other 2nd line : means nothing now that its all over.. 3rd line : no matter how many times you "move on" your still all alone. 4th line : we try to hide our loneliness by moving on with someone else 5th line : and i pretend that i moved on.. 6th line : i remember when you broke down for me and i saw how afraid you were to loose me 7th and 8th line : but yet your the one who let go..and even now that your with her.. your still alone.<<

    We stitch these wounds (x6?)

trying to get over that person.. stitching up the scars they left behind..the 'we' part probably portraying that your leaning on a friend to help you out over him..<<

The tears we've cried, this love has died your by yourself here tonight. It's what we hide, with every lie your by yourself (here tonight) The tears we've cried I'm by your side, you're by yourself here tonight. It's what we hide with every lie, you're by yourself (here tonight)

1st line : after everything.. 2nd line : it never really mattered 3rd line : this whole thing was a lie 4th line : the pain that ran down our cheeks when we parted.. 5th line : and now were alone.. yet with someone else.. 6th and 7th line : was this all a lie? feeling even more lonely than ever when you loose someone..<<

    Liar. (x9?)

referring to all of the lies that we said to one another.. this WHOLE thing was based off a lie to begin with.. and all of it came crashing down.. with just ONE lie after another..<<

again its way off than what andy is talking about but like i said.. each song speaks something different to the one who listens.. (=

Cajun Girl

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

No Surprises
Radiohead
Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
