We're running away
Further away 'cause we won't take this
Loosing my way
Not to the ground my lie beside her

You know they're telling us
Nothing's ever gonna change
You know they're telling us
Nothing's ever gonna change

We're running away
Further away so we might make it

Let's forget, don't think about it, let's forget
Let's forget, don't think about it
We're fighting with ourselves but who's the enemy?

Tear in the sky
Choking the world the cries before us
Inside to decide
Be catched in our scene alone in silence

You know they're telling us
Nothing's ever gonna change
You know they're telling us
Nothing's ever gonna change

We're running away
Further away so we might make it

Let's forget, don't think about it, let's forget
Let's forget, don't think about it
We're fighting with ourselves but who's the enemy?

We're running away
Further away 'cause we won't take this
Loosing my way
Not to the ground when we might make it

Let's forget, don't think about it, let's forget
Let's forget, don't think about it
We're fighting with ourselves but who's the enemy?
Let's forget

Besides Tracing Lines, I think this is the strongest track on Silent Cry. It really knocked me back when I first heard it - def. Feeder pushed to its limit.

You got some of the lyrics wrong.

"Tear in the sky Choking the world That cries before us It's time to decide We can't here all Sit alone in silence"

    Should be

"Tearing the sky Choking the world That cries before us It's time to decide Be counter or sit alone in silence!"

But THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for solving the whole "Knocked to the ground, I Lie beside her" part. I thought it was saying "Naught to the ground" O_o but that doesnt make sense

When the track gets to 2:10, it really does get heavy heavy for Feeder. Interesting and a very strong track on the album. I reckon the song is about a relationship that is breaking down and they are constantly fighting about petty things. They are being told that they can't work through it and that nothing is going to change. They say that their tearing the sky and choking the world with their arguments. They need to decide whether to stay together or split up. But they can't decide who has caused their problems. Therefore they are asking questions of themselves and asking if it is there fault they have had problems. They can't decide whether they are the enemy or their partner is or if the people telling them to break up is.

My view anyway, anyone agree in the slightest?

Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.
