It's not your fault
You didn't see it coming
90 miles an hour
Gone so fast and now you're left with nothing
At all.

It's not your fault
I give up every part of you
That they could spare
Mixed between the petrol
And the one lie
And it's code

Their still in your eyes
And now that your gone to some place else
I can't save you
Because the brightest lights are closing in on us.

But their still your eyes
And now that your gone to some place else
I can't save you
So I'm giving every part of you away.

It's not your fault
Something
You made up to your bedroom every night
Leaves us chasing memories and trying to understand
We can't wait

But their still eyes
And now that your gone to some place
I can't save you
Because the brightest lights are closing in on us.

But their still your eyes
And now that your gone to some place else
I can't save you
So I'm giving every part of you away.

I'm not gone
What the hell just happened here?
I'm not gone
What the hell just happened?

Love this song, it's incredible live. Think the lyrics at the end are: "Oh my god What the hell just happened here? Oh my god What the hell just happened?"

I think it's about losing someone you love, but trying to move on afterwards. Could be completely wrong though.

it's oh my god what the hell just happened here.

i think as well that it's about ending a relationship and trying to move away. well if it's not that, it sure helps me now, because it relates to what just happened now in my life....the beat is so great that it just helps me to move on and think that there will be always another sunshine tomorrow...

    actual lyrics:

It's not your fault You didn't see it coming 90 mph Gone so fast And now we're left with nothing at all

It's not your fault I've given every part that you that they could spare Mixed between the petrol and the wildlife And it's cold

Are those still your eyes? Now that you've gone to some place else I can't save you As the brightest lights are closing in on us Are those still your eyes? Now that you've gone to some place else I cant save you So I'm giving every part of you away

It's not your fault The dance you made up to your bedroom every night Leaves us chasing memories and trying to understand We can't wait

Are those still your eyes? Now that you've gone to some place else I can't save you As the brightest lights are closing in on us Are those still your eyes? Now that you've gone to some place else I cant save you So I'm giving every part of you away

Oh my God What the hell just happened here?

I think it's about a car accident, where she was driving and possibly caused the accident, and he's still alive but she has died and he's in shock trying to understand what happened, part of him realising that she's dead and trying detach himself from the feelings of loosing her.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
