If someone you knows is in the room is talking to the wall all day,
Don't be afraid it probably means they went out and bought my tape
Cuz all it takes is these friendly top doorbells
And I could rhyme the language that translates crop circles
Controversial cuz I contest commercial rappers
That gets on bottles while they're rollin in their convertables

Don't take it personal, I was born to burn you all
But worse it's beserk I'm forced to state what a (???)
I'm a crime-watcher, that's right I watch crimes and laugh
And take my half of the profits, after watching for cop cars
I can't co-operate, only operate, chase (???) and take whats in their bank

People people, when they see me get busy cuz I'm very very dope and I'm freakin the funky line (x2)

I'm down for the cause
like suicide bombers, I made a life promise
Wooshing underground through the city night commerce
Side only spreads through these southernly threads
I got a beautiful mind, it's just stuck in an ugly head
Stunnin, my skill with someone run-of-the-mill
We comin, real, we're from Adelaide (run-of-the-mill...)

This underground (???) by any means, we aiin't gettin creamed
Witnessing a burn you've never (???)
The larger they are, the harder they fall
So I drink till they can hardly recall having a body at all
I've had enough of, I aiin't actin tough, I'm actin up
But when you put MC's under pressure, I aiin't into all that faggot stuff

This rhyme'll hit so bad, imma go mad
And Think of MC's 4th an atom up into my vocab(?)
Your wife's a bitch and Death's a slut
Cuz Death comes for everyone, and when it's your turn, you're fucked

People people, when they see me get busy cuz I'm very very dope and I'm freakin the funky line (x2)

I think I'm (???), let's have a round of applause
I'm down for the cause, I'm movin mountains, bouncin off walls
I'm countin scores this is Confused councelors talkin shit, forced to spit
From now until I'm on stage, with walking sticks

To picture the potrait of an anney(?) corporate kids
Get rappers gettin court orders against (???)
I'm mad for life, In the club, hand me the mic
I keep my verses, and get myself banned for life
If these, hecklers dissin, and I'm standing on stage,
I'm gonna call you out and show the true meaning of crowd participation
Rollin down a (???), slap the shit out of a groupie
I distracts store managers, while I'm stealin nicca(?) and movies

Forever broke, no job, no where left to go
Jerry Springer comes on, and I've already seen the episode
This is when you know you're really unemployed, brain's destroyed
Sippin a Centrelink and you see all your fuckin boys

People people, when they see me get busy cuz I'm very very dope and I'm freakin the funky line (x2)

MC's claim they're movin you (are they serious?)
That's not the fact though, The fact is, you couldn't sell a burger to Fat Joe
Think you're all that, you'll be fallin back
(Jaqulines here) They call her Jaq, I call her fat

So I packed, shirts, (?), slacks, photo
Step on this mic, and when your lifes flashing back
This song's more fatal than second-hand medicine
I even bought Federine beatbox(?)
connect to Thomas Edison, through lettering, and underground peddling
I get these kids, open life, lungs of vitaline(?)
Presenting them like(???)

I'm down from the cause, protecting (???)
Like cats on Viagra, I can serve you all night
Call me the customer, because I'm always right
And I'm always mad tired, like rich people with funds
And this song's more deadly then sharing needles with bums!

People people, when they see me get busy cuz I'm very very dope and I'm freakin the funky line (x2)

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.
