"Recipe for Disaster" as written by and Victor Jasper....
To all those listening, this is my story
About a confused girl and our boy, that's boring
So either look at me, stupid and awkward
But you leave and tell me is much better

So she'll run away from the problems
She knows distance can't make hearts follow

Five more days and counting
Before you start packing
Can you give me three good reasons why
We can't get back to square one?

It's okay and you'll tell me
To my face, "Stop lying"
Every three or four tries
And now five days are gone

I've got a recipe, it's for disaster
Because that's all I see in my near future
She's got the blond hair but not the blue eyes
I've got the right girl but at the wrong time

I've seen better days, maybe even weeks
When I think of you, you're thinking of me

Five more days and counting
Before you start packing
Can you give me three good reasons why
We can't get back to square one?

It's okay and you'll tell me
To my face, "Stop lying"
Every three or four tries
And now five days are gone

And you said you'd always come back
So where are you now?
I'm not ready for the letdown
Will you be right now?

And you said you'd always come back
So where are you now?
I'm not ready for the letdown
Will you be right now?

I've seen better days, maybe even weeks
When I think of you, you're thinking of me

Five more days and counting
Before you start packing
Can you give me three good reasons why
We can't get back to square one?

It's okay and you'll tell me
To my face, "Stop lying"
Every three or four tries
And now five days are gone

General CommentOne of my favourite songs on the new cd. :]

    I think its from a guy's perspective.
His gf is leaving him and he's always wondering when she'll be back.

    General Commentdefinately. Love this song.

It's a tragic topic but the way he tells the story it kinda makes it seem like she does this so often that he's done being upset and right now he's just hopeful and wondering. He's not gonna get too upset but he wants her back. Kinda just like he's thinking to himself "hmm, gone again because things got tough, I see? Oh well, maybe she'll come back soon" and he goes on with his life.

that's my perspective of it anyway. =]

General CommentI think it's a story about a guy who wants to settle down and she keeps leaving because she's not quite ready, but comes back because she doesn't want to not have this oppurtunity when she is ready. This is backed up the most by the line, "She's got the blond hair, but not the blue eyes. I've got the right girl at the wrong time." Meaning she's beautiful and he really likes her, but she's not ready for something so serious.

General CommentI'm not sure if anyone noticed this because I think they would have pointed it out by now, but this is very very clever and catchy.

5 more days and counting b-
4 you start packing, can you give me
3 good reasons why we can't get back
    2 square
1 so can you tell me
2 my face stop lying, every
    3 or
    4 tries, and now
    5 days are gone.

and if you still don't know what I'm talking about then you don't need to be listening to music =]
