Yeah live and let live motherfuckers,
I'm a do me you do you. You're all a bunch of haters.

Oh
Oh

I don't like the way that you talk to me
When you tell me how it's gonna be
And I don't like the way that you smile at me
When you tell me what is wrong with me
Sometimes I wish you would go away
Go away and never ever come back
I don't like the mean and vindictive things you do
It makes me want to hate on you

Yeah it's got me sad
I'm kinda stressed
You got me feeling anxious
I'm always depressed
And I don't want to play this game of tug of war
I don't wanna be with a hater like you anymore

Oh

I don't wanna be with a hater like you anymore, anymore
No
No I don't wanna be with a hater
You are such a hater

I don't like the way that you never take the blame
For absolutely anything
And I don't like the way that you put me through hell
For all those things you do yourself
Sometimes I wish I could disappear
Fade away into a happy new life
I don't like the way that you're always telling lies
You talk about me all the time

I hear you talk
You are such a bore
I see the way you look
I think you look like a witch
I know you know
I know the way you were before

I don't wanna be with a hater like you anymore
Whoa, oh
I don't wanna be with a hater like you anymore,
Anymore
No no
I don't wanna be with a hater like you
Hater, hater
I don't wanna be with a hater like you
Hater, hater
I don't wanna be with a hater like you anymore
Anymore
Oh
Anymore, anymore,
No no
I don't wanna play this game,
No I don't wanna play games, games, uh

You're a hypocrite
Yeah you lie to me
You use what you don't understand
You embarrass me
Yeah you're beautiful
In an ugly way
Hey the sex
Was never that good anyway

It's got me down
And I'm super stressed
Been taking medication
I'm always depressed
I don't want to fight you in this tug of war
I don't wanna be with a hater like you anymore
Whoa whoa
I don't wanna be with a hater like you anymore, anymore
Whoa whoa
I don't wanna be with a hater like you
Hater hater hater
I don't wanna be with a hater like you
Hater hater hater hater
I don't wanna be with a hater like you
Hater hater
Hater
Hater

I wouldn't want to be with a hater like that ever. What a bitch. It's a good song.. I think the meaning is pretty straight forward.

A radio station I listen to described it as "a letter Art wrote to his ex-wife." Hm, that seems about right...

hahah i love everclear. "yea you're beautiful, in a n ugly way, hey the sex was never that good anyway!". This song is pretty straight forward...basically its about a guy he was dating a manipulative bitch that got him all screwed up and depressed and stuff, but now he's finally decided to peace out and tell her straight up to get out of his life. Kind of harsh, but totally awesome

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
