Uh-huh
It's Ricky
(These are the real sopranos)

Look, Lord forgive me for my sins
And thank you for this paper
I'm humble just enough to tell you niggas get your cake up
Yeah, I took a devastatin' loss like the Lakers (damn)
My mama see me shinin' on you niggas like a Jacob
'Til that Rollie on my left wrist
I'ma keep a Jaylen Brown of the best shit (facts)
Stir it in the water like it's Nesquik (whip, whip)
The last fifty was my best flip, then I made an exit
I was bold enough to sell that shit and man enough to just quit
The feds started sweepin' like there's crumbs all in the kitchen
I was still worried even though I kept my distance
Free my brother Boonie (free Boons)
once again them people pinched him
Talkin' 'bout like hour-hundred-thirty-thousand and then some
The money is the difference (that money)
Can't eat if you ain't vicious
This the type of shit you go through when in the trenches
Lookin' like a ticket I spent it and I meant it
I'm thankful every day I got myself out my position motherfucker, uh

Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray to God my soul to keep
And if I die before I wake up
I'm just thankful for this paper
Now I lay me down to sleep (they know)
I pray to God my soul to keep (big BSF, it's Heem, nigga)
And if I die before I wake up (ayy, Hyde, what up?)
I'm just thankful for this paper

Took a couple losses
Couple niggas crossed us
We're hirin' for shootas nigga step into my office
You're resume important, we duckin law enforcements
Your OG was a rat/ heard your father got extorted
With a wire on recorded lead him to a warrant
We witness dead bodies, just another day on warrant
Just kill 'em fuck a warning
The undercover swarmin'
A week straight 'member doin a shootin' every mornin'
We up with Tom Joyner
The block feel like a sauna
We loadin' up good, drinkin', smokin', marijuana
Hidin' from my mama
'Cause I sell Madonna
Screamin' fuck the jury
Middle finger to your honor
Money bring the problems
Kill 'em for a comma
Catch me on the run with the Draco like Osama
Forgive me for my sins, I know I'm livin' reckless
Just hope the Lord take me
When they put me on that stretcher, nigga, uh (they know)

Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray to God my soul to keep
And if I die before I wake up
I'm just thankful for this paper
Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray to God my soul to keep
And if I die before I wake up
I'm just thankful for this paper

this song is awsome. The lyrics are so dark and yet it's almost soothing. Hyde really has an amazing vioce and real talent. loves

Ministry
Both as a standalone and as part of the DSOTS album, you can take this lyric as read. As a matter of public record, Jourgensen's drug intake was legendary even in the 1980s. By the late 90s, in his own words, he was grappling with massive addiction issues and had lost almost everything: friends, spouse, money and had nearly died more than once. "Dark Side of the Spoon" is a both funny & sad title for an album made by a musical genius who was losing the plot; and this song is a message to his fans & friends saying he knows it. It's painful to listen to so I'm glad the "Keith Richards of industrial metals" wised up and cleaned up. Well done sir.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
