"Simple Minds, Simple Lives" as written by Daniel Lowder, Thomas J Minich, Jose Daniel Romero and Mark Daniel Rose....
The marketing kings are at it again
They're selling you lies, becoming your friend
Until the end
Irresistible job, a role-playing game, the target is you
And they're taking aim
So step outside

[Chorus:]
We are simple minds, we live simple lives
And we're doing what we love
Not trying to just to appeal to you
It's when the push becomes the shove
And when you feel it
All the way
Is it really true just what they say?
Is it really true just what they say?
Is it really true just what they say?

Corporate contenders with imperial goals,
They're hitting agendas aren't always exposed
So write this down
By enter their avulsion, their copy-cat trends
You'll become a pawn for the rest of their end
Drown or die

General Commentthis isnt spitalfield getting political. theyre saying that they are doing what they love and playing music they love and not just trying to write a hit song to make money.

General CommentThe rest of the new album is wicked amazing, but I gotta say that the lyrics to this song are kind of lame.

General CommentNot lame at all. These lyrics take a genre of music to an area rarely explored in this type of music. This is all about Corporate America and how people fall into fads to fit in.

"By enter their avulsion, their copy-cat trends
You’ll become a pawn for the rest of their end
    Drown or die"

I'm not a fan of the Truth Orginization but this song reminds me of it a lot.

" The marketing kings are at it again
They're selling you lies, becoming your friend
    Until the end
Irresistible job, a role-playing game, the target is you
    And they’re taking aim"
    "Corporate contenders with imperial goals,
They’re hitting agendas aren’t always exposed"

I think this song is the middle finger to Corporate powerhouses that flex their influential muscles on weak-minded people. Spitalfield is taking it to a new level

General CommentOMG THESE LYRICS ARE TERRIBLE DONT YOU GUYS EVER BUY THE CD AND LOOK AT THE LYRICS BEFORE YOU POST THEM GEEZ Correct Lyrics:

The marketing kings are at it again!
They're selling you lies, becoming your friend.
    Until the end...
    Irresistible charm; a well-played game.
    The target is you
    And they’re taking aim
    So step outside.

    [Chorus:]
We are simple minds, we live simple lives
And we’re doing what we love
Not trying to just appeal to you
It’s when the push becomes the shove
    And when you peel it
    All away
Is it really true just what they say?
Is it really true just what they say?
Is it really true just what they say?

    Corporate contenders with imperial goals,
They’re hidden agendas aren’t always exposed
    So write this down
Buy into their Bullshit, their copy-cat trends
You’ll become a pawn for the message they send
    JOIN OR DIE

General CommentCorrect lyrics are really important because you are getting the wrong meaning of the song if you don't. For instance they posted:

    "And when you feel it
    All the way
Is it really true just what they say?"

    When its:
    "And when you peel it
    All away
Is it really true just what they say?"

Meaning when you take away all the false images that corporations give to young people, will it still sound reasonable.

    anyways, I am done, cya

General CommentI really like this song. I like the fact that he is standing up against corporate America and the "advertsing kings" who feed us "bullshit" as a part of their hidden agendas.
