Don't go away go go girl,
When though you wanna dance.
Don't go away go go girl,
You need to try romance.
Tonight could be the night,
Cause you're looking cute.
Dancing all around
In your white go go boots.
Go go girl!
Don't go away go go girl,
There's nothing I won't do,
To make you mine
Go go girl,
I'll spend my whole life through.
Maybe in a discotheque,
Learnin' every step that's new.
Don't go away go go girl,
Unless you take me with you.
Go go girl!
Tonight could be the night,
Cause you're looking cute.
Dancing all around
In your white go go boots.
Go go girl!
Go go girl!
Don't go away go go girl.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
