"A Thousand Steps" as written by Timothy P. Lambesis, Jordan Mancino and Evan White....
We climbed a thousand steps without a single imprint
This drowning regret will die, forgotten like my past
Moving bodies lie in rest
Carried by each other

General CommentThis song is an explosion. I'm really not clear on the meaning. So can Someone Please Help? I really hope it doesn't take another two years to comment on this song.
I guess I'll give my interpretaton:
To put it vaguely, it's about climbing your way to reach God. And there are bad things that you've done, but they are forgiven once you've become a follower of Christ. The other part is about seeing people on your way and they don't know the Lord and are living a useless life.
    That's what I think.

My InterpretationThis is an amazing song. Short, sweet, and it really gives you something to think about. In my opinion this song does not involve religion, but instead elaborates on difficulties we all go through in life.

"We climbed a thousand steps without a single imprint"

I believe that this part of the song symbolizes how much effort someone exalted and how it went unnoticed. This happens in almost all aspects of life, especially in careers and relationships.

    "This drowning regret will die,
    Forgotten like my past"

This part of the song explains how the person does not regret his attempt at making a good impression. Instead of allowing his failed attempt drag him down, he is forgetting.

    "Moving bodies lie in rest,
    Carried by each other"

The people who reject you are the ones who have lost. Instead of being embraced by someone who would do anything for them, they choose to be with those unloyal to them for the benefit of their status.

My first interpretation. Tell me what you think.
