94 Hours Lyrics

94 hours of regret for me to realize what i held
unfading beauty, not just a face
i held its innocence within my heart, now i won’t let go
the torment of your eyes has awakened my soul
the pain of a moment’s time will forever beg your forgiveness

I just realized that 94 hours is the time that Jesus Christ was dying on the cross...

"the torment of your eyes has awakened my soul the pain of a moments time will forever beg your forgiveness"

Now looking at the perfect innocence of Christ, the lyricist feels that as sinful humans, we deserved this type of suffering, not Christ. Looking at the "torment in His eye", he seems so pitiful that we "beg His forgiveness" when we sin against Him.

And also probsably not. They are Christian, but the lyrics aren't always christ centered. he said it in an interview he said all the lyrics are written about life, relationship, death through a christian viewpoint.

I agree with Mattewro. Thats one of the beuatiful parts of this band, their music is practically philosophy, pondering life, looking deeper into things. Its not just shallow repetition of a story from a book.

I just bought there CD a few months ago and i'm still listening to it everyday. This is one of the hardest songs on their CD.... The Double bass is sick. The first time I heard it I couldn't believe anyone could move there feet that fast.... AMAZING!

When I heard the double bass in this song I thought of a machine gun. I have heard some amazing double bass lines in other songs, but this one tops it all. I saw this band live a while back and thought is was the most amazing live show around when it comes to musical performances.

the last minute of this song is unbelievable.

the double kick is down in triplets rather then normal double kick the drummer is going 1,2,3 were normal double kick goes 1,2,3,4 thats why it sounds so fast.

Really? Normally double basses are played in sixteenths; if it were to be played in triplets faster than sixteenth notes (especially at this tempo), that would be nearly impossible. I'm not saying that's not true, but I could not imagine that. But I'll listen for it.

Wow, you were right. I played it back, and yes, there are 6 double bass hits in one beat instead of 4. That's why it sounds so fast.

to be honest I am not really impressed by the doublebass in this song...standart doublebass in a high tempo... listen to the DoubleBass brake in Angel Of Death by slayer...that's what I call doublebass...nothing against AILD I love 'em but I don't think the drummer is something special
