And if I don’t let you know
Then I won’t be for real
I could be wrong but I feel like something could be going on
Yeah
Aye, aye
No cap
Are you still
Are you still
Are you still
Baby are you still
Oh, oh
Aye
Work it baby
Ain’t seen ya face in awhile, reverse it baby
It’s urgent mmh
I been lurking for ya
On the gram been searching for ya
Late to work on purpose for you baby
What’s got me feeling this way
I see that birkin bag that you rocking yeah
I see that lil cake that you packing
Make it clap for the snap and I like that
Aye
Cuz you been
Running up them digits baby, you been
Looking bad for a minute baby, you been
Putting me up in my feelings lately, you been
Baby tell me are you still down for a young nigga
When yo song comes around do you jump with it
When you hear that suedesound do you turn up with it
I’m tryna get off the ground, tryna come up witcha
Cuz you like it when I pull up
You touch me and I get goosebumps
I want you, can’t fall too much
But it’s too strong for ya
Are you still down
Yeah, mmh
Baby momma are you still
Baby momma are you still, you still
Aye

All the people in your life say you're down And the strangers in the night say you're down And the loonies on the right say you're down and you're down And the ambulances sigh that you're down And the traffic speeding by says you're down And the people in your life say you're down and you're down

Hey you chase the day away Hey you draw the blinds and blow your mind away

And there's a sadness in your style And there's a blankness in your smile And the people in the park say you're down And the strangers in the dark say you're down And the pissheads in the bars say you're down And the audiences cry that you're down And the ambulances sigh that you're down And the boyfriends in your life say you're down and you're down

Hey you chase the day away Hey you draw the blinds and blow your mind away

And there's a sadness in your style And there's a blankness in your smile Hey you chase the day away Hey you draw the blinds and blow your mind away And there's a sadness in your style And there's a madness in your smile

Beautiful... makes me think about the very nature of being down. Songs like this are usually such a no-brainer as everyone can identify with them, as everyone feels down sometimes... But this gets it so much better than most.It baffles me that Suede aren't as commonly played as other big britpop bands.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
