@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday".
I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
You look at me from the back of the room
All I see is a bumbling buffoon
Head down like you don't see much
Until you move in to make your bust
I spy for you and me
I spy for you and me
Disguised like you're one of the scene
Just stand alone with no real friends
Scared people will find out who you are
Alone in the world without your telephone beeper
I spy for you and me
I spy for you and me
Curious folks ask questions of life
But you can't answer 'cause your heart's like a knife
Still you feel you sing the last song sung
You're just a heartless piece of scum with a gun
I spy for you and me
I spy for you and me
I spy I spy
I spy
All I see is a bumbling buffoon
Head down like you don't see much
Until you move in to make your bust
I spy for you and me
I spy for you and me
Disguised like you're one of the scene
Just stand alone with no real friends
Scared people will find out who you are
Alone in the world without your telephone beeper
I spy for you and me
I spy for you and me
Curious folks ask questions of life
But you can't answer 'cause your heart's like a knife
Still you feel you sing the last song sung
You're just a heartless piece of scum with a gun
I spy for you and me
I spy for you and me
I spy I spy
I spy

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988.
"'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it."
"There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Lyrics for “I Spy” begin at 00:27 timestamp on track 10 of ‘Bedtime for Democracy’ released November 1986. Recorded April and July 1986.
Jello Biafra, (aka Eric Boucher) the lead singer of Dead Kennedys gets straight to the point. Eye contact occurs between the “You and I” and refers to an Individual Jello absolutely despises.
@B12ad 'Head down like you don't see much<br /> Until you move in to make your bust'<br /> <br /> The rest of the verse explains that this individual is trying to stay out of sight, but is still a noticeable idiot keeping their eyes on the subject they’re watching. Irony is used to describe this super secret member of authority being obvious and executing their duties in plain sight.<br /> <br /> This song is written by the drummer of the band, D.H. Peligro, instead of primary song writer, Jello Biafra. As such the track contains some of the best percussion work and ability featured by D.H. Peligro<br />
I spy for you and me<br /> I spy for you and me<br /> I spy for you and me'<br /> <br /> The chorus is a simple threefold repetition of three descending chords, C5, B5, E. But on the third repeat instead of using low E they go with a high E.<br /> <br /> This song breaks the fourth wall and implies that the band members have spotted such an imposter in the crowd, and sing to expose him!
Disguised like you're one of the scene<br /> Just stand alone with no real friends<br /> Scared people will find out who you are<br /> Alone in the world without your telephone beeper'<br /> <br /> The individual referred to as the ‘spy’ that “I spy” is supposedly disguised as if he fits in with others, but nobody stands with him as he is there alone and scared actually.<br /> <br /> Fun fact the song starts at around ~170BPM with a lot of space and silence. The song slows down to approximately ~130BPM but the pace of the 16th notes is so fast that there is noticeable sway in the tempo. Starting the intro at 128BPM speeding up to 134BPM.
Curious folks ask questions of life<br /> But you can't answer 'cause your heart's like a knife<br /> Still you feel you sing the last song sung<br /> You're just a heartless piece of scum with a gun"<br /> <br /> What does this song really mean?<br /> You only read my captions trying to find out. It’s up to interpretation.<br /> <br /> A ‘spy’ uses a knife and a gun to protect himself just like a cop (commonly criticized by DKs) but that still makes them just another (like a blade) cold heart violent tyrant. Who is he to decide who lives or dies just because he has a badge or uniform?<br />
