I belive this song is about going mad and giving into your dark side. " Five days in a watery cave. Another song for the day that I take to the grave. I gotta be the first to see the specter. Everybody want to be friends with the nectar protector. Seventeen skulls in a hole in the woods" is one of the examples of somone giving into their dark side, and oing mad becuase of it. "Back in elementary school, there was a kid we knew, we considered him cool. And when his eyes turned red, the principal said he was gonna go mad from the things in his head. Seventeen days later somebody told us there was no more school, and the principal sold us to the ice cream shop down the street, where it seemed there was nothing they'd let us eat, so we screamed" This is another example somone going crazy and giving into their dark side. "The whole affair is shrouded in living mystery." is saying no one is quite sure why it happend. "So what goes on in your tree, when all you know is your evil shadow has a cup of tea?" this is asking you, what would you do when your Evil side wins (has a cup of tea) It's asking you if you could handle giving in, or if you too would go insane, it's even asking if doing so is in it self insanity. This is only one of the things it means though, i leave it to all of you to sort out all of it into something solid. |
