I will forever relate this song to Japanese suicides and contradictingly to happiness. This is due to my hearing this song (not for the first time) on a really well done short film not too far back. It was the perfect choice of song for the moment/events and lingers with me as such. Beautiful and mesmerizing. |

Amazing song, amazing artist, I highly recommend : ) I believe this song to mean something about coping with a failed relationship due to "everything [being] alright" when "[they] [are] gone" and talk of the preoccupation easing troubles. |

Amazing song. I agree that the meaning has to do with compromising one's stance. Also suggested through the ambigiuous nature of the lyrics being nearly overlapped. Definitely one of my favorites off of One Foot in the Grave. |

I love this song, so laid back. I wish I could decipher more deeply into the meaning..the only thing I can suggest is perhaps discontent with one's life?
I must add that I have fallen in love with this music video. I find it visually stunning. |

I'm pretty sure it's "...my summer girl" due to the song being titled as "Summer Girl" as well as "Girl." |
