I really dont want to put religion and Jesus into this, but i think this song is basically all about that. I dont mean to offend anyone that believes in something else or doesnt believe in any form of god in at all. So please dont take offence at all from what im saying. but obviously, eternal life means a life in heaven. one last nail i think refers to nailing Jesus to the cross, because we all lifted that hammer and hit that nail in Him. This bloody road is the road that Jesus traveled on His way to be crucified and that road is bloody because of the whipping. "did you really think this bloody road would pave the way for you? " is the road that Jesus paved for us and we always get thrown off of that path, so we should turn around to get back on the path. We are torn in two by Jesus and satin, who both us to follow them.
