I agree with you that its about someone who is about to hang himself. I wasn't sure, too, but i think "The sun goes down too soon" is symbolic for his early death, so it makes perfect sense with the suicide theory. But I'm not sure what their relationship was like. It was short (You came to quickly and left the same (quickly)|i hope i got it right|) and he was surprised because she stayed. Perhaps she was (in his eyes) too beautiful/'good' for a guy like him. But he knew she will leave soon, but still he falls in love with her, even wants to kill/kills himself because he lost her. He knows this suicide doesn't change her, he even wonders who she will kill tonight with her behavior. But I wonder why he's still after the girl, why "he wants her back, only to give her away", he knows that she is 'evil', and not too blind to see it, even saying it...
I'm still looking for a hint what the first 5 lines mean, and if its possible to figure out if its news or noose. I think its news in the first part and noose in the seconds, but just because i dont know if "hanging on the breaking news" has a meaning.
