I love this song. I think it is about a "relationship" that isnt working beacause of the distance between them because they live a long way away from each other, the fact that she dosnt feel for him the same way and the fact that they are both afraid of being hurt.
I think he is very much in love with her but cant stand the distance between them, even though the see each other every now and they are on an intimate level with each other they both know a relationship couldnt happen while there is so much distance between them
