Me thinks this song refers to how our rampant world economy is slowly killing our natural resources.

An old 80's commercial from one of the bigger investment companies had a bull running through a shop filled with fragile items. I'm trying to remember what the narrator said but the song is a reference to how our elected officials (the matadors) encourage the bull (our economy, idealy a bull market) to run rampant without a care for our environment (the china shop).
