"Fun was cartoons Saturdays / Fun was staying up past eight" I remember i loved staying up late (past eight) when i was in elementary school. As i got older staying up past eight and watching cartoons on saturdays wasnt as much fun. The wrong crowd letting you in usually doesnt happen till middle or high school. I think this song is about growing up in general.
