i think its humorous. just the title "oh my goth!" is comical: oh my god/gosh is such a trite phrase, and the "!" is so cheerful...
"i know that i die gracefully in vain" is too melodramatic to be literal. i think that the song is lovingly mocking the goth movement, which is now just another enclave within the mainstream (i growl at you, HotTopic).
i dig goth shit and all, its fucking hot, etc, but if a teenie bopper can go to a mall and say "mommy, buy me this straitjacket, it'll look totally scary with my britney t-shirt," how deviant and miserable has "goth" become?
