i know this song makes many refrences to the north shore, but it is also about growin up and holdin on to memories whether its doin some wild crazy thing w/ ur friends or just hangin out doin nothin @ all, u will remember those times, and u do not realize it, but u can't hold on to these days together forever(u and ur friends), and the days just hangin out together are the days u will remember "One day these could be the days but who could have known" when jack says:
