Well "hardcore" is essentialy just a new form of thrash-metal. Very early Metallica-esque sound. And to some extent also a good bit of Slayer...well thats what I hear anyway. To me KSE are a metal band, but it really doesn't matter what style they play or who their influences are...its just damn good music, nothing more.
