Tori often changes her songs meanings and stories. Perhaps it's to make you think of your own interpretation. It just seems to me that more often that anything, god doesn't come through. Where is god when babies are murdered, women are raped, children are abused? "you always go when the wind blows" I think she's saying, god needs a woman to look after him, to keep him on the ball. But then she goes on to say "would you even tell her if you decide to make the sky?" Just like a man, would he ever answer to a woman? I think she's more telling god what's up. Because she's always found religion hard to swallow.
