i think what he is singing about is how the world is all the same. everyone lives on a small street (compaired to the world) and everyone has very small shoes ( by shoes he means that one person is just one person) and everyone has a big house and a big wardrobe and junk... and when we look at oursleves were just animals... and even tho we dress loud, evryone is quiet... well tahts my interpretation of the song...
