Just to correct dave_ddc, the upcoming album will be named 'So long, Astoria' for anyone who doesn't know already. This song actually mixes two similar problems that Kris has known in his life - his father not being around when he was growing up, and himself not being around whilst his daughter is growing up. Kris once said in a live concert that this is the best song he has ever written, but I think he knows he has written better songs, San Dimas for example, but he just feels so strongly about the message of this song, that he would like to think that it is the best song he has ever written. All in all it's a great song and I can't wait to hear the studio version when the album comes out. Rock on Ataris!
