One of the nonreal people I know analyzed this song, and I'm not going to be able to do it half as well as he did, so I'll just post a few thoughts.
It seems to be aimed at someone the singer has known for a long, long time--most like since childhood: "I've never had a way till now to let it out" seems to imply an old relationship in which the singer is accustomed to be under the influence of the person he's singing to, and has finally found a way to express how he really feels.
Some people just don't know how much they hurt us. Or they don't care. Either way, they're too busy trying to smash us into the mold they think we should fit into (most often a copy of their own selves) to see us as an actual person.
This is my new favorite Juliana Theory song. ^_^ It used to be Into the Dark, until I found this one.
